Stopped off for dinner while on a short holiday break, we all enjoyed Morpeth, town was busy.
Food was very good, and portions were more than ample...service was excellent, and staff were friendly and helpful...was quite late when we arrived, so only a few people were in.
If in the area, I can recommend.
I came across this gem of an engaging business as I was in need of a hot drink. Within is a well organized run tea room. Once I'd had my pot of tea I went exploring the pub . It's a large business selling local beers and popular beers. The staff are efficient and friendly. Stayed and enjoyed the music and atmosphere . Will return next time I'm in Morpeth.
Love it here, cosy decor, yummy food and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are really friendly too. I particularly like the foraged mushroom toast and vegan wellington.
On 27.10.22 we got married at this venue and can I just say it was everything I had ever dreamed of. We met with Gabriel Blackmore, the events manager, and gave him our ideas and visions. We had constant communication throughout the planning process and we felt so comfortable and catered for. Gabriel could not have done more for us, he made sure that any request was catered for within five minutes. We could have asked for a plane with our names on it flying across the venue and he would have done that for us. The staff at the venue were super friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing and high quality. We never had empty drinks. All I can say is that our wedding was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for any more it was just perfect. Thankyou so so much to the team at Pleased to Meet You Morpeth for having us and making sure that our night was unforgettable!!
Restaurant/bar with live music. Really enjoyed our time here. Toliets could do with some attention and cocktails was expensive for a small tiny glass. Definitely should have the offer on the cocktails on a Sunday.
Had a really enjoyable lunch with my husband - they made the simplest things like cauliflower soup magic, and the cabbage served with the roast pheasant so tasty & moreish! Could of done with a bit more sauce with the pheasant though, which was slightly dry. Dessert of plum & pear tart was really delicious - crumbly pastry, moist filling with juicy fruit! Service was good, staff attentive, so overall worth the service charge on the bill.
We will definitely be back!
Very impressed. Went 2 days in a row, firstly for a snack and cream cake and cup of cappuccino with my mother. Second day with family for a proper lunch and cocktails. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - in fact the staff were great. Food was very varied and cocktails great.
Will definitely go back again.
Thoroughly recommended!
Dined here last night with my husband and we had a lovely evening from start to finish. Food was delicious and plentiful so much so I couldn't eat a dessert, however I asked for a takeaway and enjoyed the Gin cheesecake with lunch today. We will be back hopefully soon thank you.
Great food and very friendly staff. Unfortunately it was very quiet at lunchtime on a Saturday so this created an awkward atmosphere but understandably this is not the restaurants fault.
Highly recommend the steak burger
We've been in for drinks before but the atmosphere wasn't really 'us' in the bar area, however, we thought we would give the restaurant try.
We ate here twice during Morpeth Restaurant week in March from the £10 for 2 courses set menu and the £15 for 2 courses set menu with dessert as an extra. The restaurant area was lovely, had a different ambience than the bar area with a mixture of different ages and group types. The staff on both visits were exceptional, friendly and cheerful whilst being professional. Every course was exceptional, We had the mushrooms and Scotch egg for starters, with the Belly pork and Chicken Wellington for mains, followed by the gin trifle and sticky toffee pudding (amazing) the portions did look a little small, however, we left surprisingly stuffed. Will definitely be back for food, it was great value and two great nights!
A very quiet bank holiday Monday around 6.30 pm however the excellent table service of Lucy made the night !!
Best steak we’ve had in ages off the two courses for £16
Honestly we had to force the dessert down we were so full
I would have gladly paid that for the steak 👏👏👏👏👏atmosphere didn’t score as high as we were the only people in the restaurant but it’s beautifully decorated !!
Had a Prosecco afternoon tea, good service and delicious food!
We couldn’t fault our Sunday lunch yesterday ! My cauliflower steak was beautiful 🤩 Everything was cooked lovely and the yorkshire & Gravy were delicious! A perfect size portion , not too big :-) We will be back!
Lovely place. Only went in for drinks but there was a great atmosphere to the place. The drinks weren't the cheapest. Will definitely go back and try the food the next time
