We were staying at Felmoor park just up the road and booked a table for 4 adults a child needing a high chair and our dog. It was a nice evening so we had drinks out in the beer garden then had our meal in the conservatory. We were made to feel very welcome by staff and locals at the bar. food was very good . steak and triple cooked chips were first class. Thanks

We called in on our journey south from Scotland to Yorkshire the Sunday after new year, around 2pm lunch time on the off chance having no idea what to expect. Most places nearby were still shut. It was advertised on the web as open, where as many said they were but actually weren't and on arriving we found this to be true and very busy. We had no booking it was purely a drop in. We were greeted by welcoming staff and although busy they found us a table immediately, and explained how the carvery worked. The food was hot, fresh, and extremely delicious and there was no shortage of meat or veg. They replenished the veg and gravy regularly ensuring a freshly cooked choice was always available and we were only there for an hour. The staff were friendly & efficient. it thoroughly enjoyed the meal and experience and will definitely be dropping in again when we go past another time.

We have camped here several times now and this is a brilliant place. Think of this as luxurious wild camping. Pitch your tent in the meadow and you are a stones throw from the pub. The pub has a great menu with lots of food to choose from and there is always live music on at a weekend. Steve and Michelle the landlords are very welcoming and excellent people as is Stocksy the restaurant manager. I can't reccomend this place high enough.

Camped here overnight. Large groups were welcome but the music was quiet as it got later and no problems with noise of any sort. Facilities are very basic, no showers, but a good location for an overnight stop. Pub staff are very friendly, and good with kids. Near enough the seaside for an evening stroll too.

Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub. We visited with our dog but were restricted to an annex room next to the garden (too cold to sit out when we visited). The food on our visit was adequate rather than great.

Was closed when we arrived but owner opened up to serve coffee to a couple of caffeine starved Yanks passing through on the way to Bamberg :-). Then the chef arrived and made us a fabulous, proper English breakfast. All this while they were supposed to be closed up. Needless to say, great friendly people and equally good food.

Been a few times over the years with previous landlords , must say this was the nicest Sunday lunch I've had in this lovely little pub , I've gave it 5 stars for quality and superb service the only thing I could say is that the separate veg bowl could of been bigger as our meal was for two which I presume would be the same as for one person ,spoke to landlord and said next time just ask for bigger portion as this will not be a problem .

An old pub , very quaint with a log burner, ordered the Sunday lunch with either turkey , pork or beef , a good selection of fresh vegetables and a huge Yorkshire pudding, the gravy was lovely ,all was really nice, a small selection of sweets for afters but we were full so didn't indulge , will definitely be back .
