Fab little stop for breakfast. Dinky and cute, lots of choice. Sweet treats look amazing. We had a full breakfast, it was huge, 2 of everything, and all tasted delicious 😋 the staff are very friendly too. I have saved location on Google, so I will definitely be back. Oh, and they are dog friendly too.
This place is a little gem.
Food is delicious, freshly made with proper ingredients. You must try their cheese scones with chives butter and delicious cakes 😋
Hot drinks are served in cute traditional tea cups with flower design
Great eatery just off the A1. Lovely staff and the best sausage sandwich ever. The food is fresh cooked and prepared and there is also plenty of it. Reasonably priced, good range of choices. Dog friendly and free coffee top ups too. Definitely worth making a special trip to this place.
Absolutely fabulous vintage style cafe! Great home made cakes and huge home made sausage rolls! Great views, dog friendly. Cherry staff, just off the A1, perfect!
Absolute gem of a find.
Lovely friendly atmosphere and such a quirky little place.
Cakes and coffees were lovely.
Sitting outside feels like you are sitting in your own garden.
Food looked amazing.
Will definitely go back. Highly recommended.
Stopped off here for breakfast en-route to Northumberland zoo. Staff were good craic and friendly. Full English was tasty, and we ended up staying a couple of hours and having cake too. Nice, relaxed atmosphere would definitely recommend!
Quirky little rest stop that’s also dog friendly. Bit like the mad hatters tea room, but with better service and great food!
Do yourself a favour and come here instead of the chain stop off points/services.
Loads of indoor and outdoor seating, plenty to entertain yourself with in terms of the eclectic decor AND you get free refills on filter coffees. The food is also worth a special trip too with home baked cakes and generously filled sandwiches.
Food was absolutely amazing. The staff are absolutely lovely and constantly topping up teas and coffees and bringing the next course of afternoon tea. The photos do not include the cake that we had to take home as we were so full. Little extra to buy like the autumn bobbler! Also, £13 for sandwiches: beef and mustard, ham and pease pudding, salmon and cream cheese. Then, cheese scones, quiche, sausage roll. Followed by clotted cream and jam scones, fruit meringue... then a cake to eat-in or take home as we had to do. We will be back and fully recommend it!
This place is an absolute gem! The two Hilary's (one the owner) welcomed us and our two very large dogs (who were given some ham!). Yes, unlike some, they welcome dogs inside so you don't have to freeze as you have your food and drinks. The food was absolutely lovely, I had homemade soup and a biscotti cheesecake for afters. So if you are in the area give this place a go.
I must have passed this beautiful little cafe a million times up and down the A1, and I was so pleased my daughter found this whilst staying at Felmoor Park. The breakfast was beautiful. The staff are so warm and friendly. 1000% recommend this little gem.
