Great selection of beer, bit cramped downstairs as its very popular but you can always get served, plenty of extra seating upstairs. Staff are always great, the beer is superb 👌

Lovely little bar in a quiet corner near the footbridge. Very friendly and helpful staff, busy inside but lovely patio seating in the sunshine. Great beer, and dog friendly.

Great beers, lovely courtyard! Had a lovely almasty here. Great selection. Wylam, Rigg and Furrow, Two by Two, Flying Gang and Almasty. Lovely owner too. Particularly nice in summer in the courtyard, given it is quite tiny inside! Only suggestion is it could be modernised/brighter inside.

A proper real-ale micro-boozer, selling small-batch beers from keg and cask. Very friendly staff and clientele. The only shame is that we weren't in the area for longer.

Very very good pub. Plenty of well-kept good beers on cask and keg, friendly and rapid service. Being a tourist I felt very welcome.

It does not surprise me that the walls of this establishment are covered in awards. It deserves all of them. It’s hard to imagine a warmer welcome from staff and patrons anywhere. A very broad range of beer and cider hand pumps fill the counter offering a selection that must suit all tastes. Knowled
