The calzone vesuvio is the Best calzone I have ever had and I have had pizza in Italy. Amazing dough and the filling was just the right balance between melted and firm. The other pizzas received rave reviews too. Staff happy to swap different types of pasta between sauces and the happy hour prices were astounding. 5 of us had two courses (starters and mains) plus drinks for less than £45. Great place, great staff and simply awesome food
Had my birthday evening meal here and omg its delicious steak was cooked to perfection can't recommend the place enough absolutely lush and lovely customer service kids love it xx
Thank you for an excellent meal in a splendid restaurant. Morpeth is in need of a quality eatery which people can visit on a regular basis. I like the fact that the owner is passionate about art so it's not just about making money, it's about celebrating life, food, art and music. Keep it up. Art.
Ate here last night with 3 others. Absolutely brilliant. Food was delicious, the best I've had in Morpeth in years, great atmosphere and best of all was the fantastic, helpful, friendly and efficient service. Cannot recommend this place more highly, wishing you all every success.
Had tea here on Thursday night excellent food, good choice on the menu, nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and the music was good too. First visit of many.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
The food was amazing and will definitely be back!
Took a trip to morpeth and came across this restaurant highly rate by Google maps and it was amazing. The service was fantastic, lovely selection of food and specials. It is upstairs so can be a problem for some but definitely worth a visit. We got the special starter scallops with black pudding, bacon and pea puree with a salad on the side😍 was amazing. We also tried the pate to start with great size portion s as you can see from our photos. We then got the arriabata and cajun beef strips pasta with a pizza garlic bread. Everything we tried was amazing and all the staff are lovely, would definately go back and recommend a visit if you are near by, we didn't even have to book which was great.
Went for sunday lunch with friends. Good qualty food on offer with a prompt and efficient service to match.

On a blustery summers day in in Morpeth me and my partner stumbled across this little hidden gem.
Starved by a long walk around the river bank we craved a hearty Sunday lunch. Our attention grabbed by the board “3 course Sunday lunch for £8.95”, we climbed the stairs to reveal and elegant but cosy restaurant setting, greeted almost immediately by a staff member with a smile, further welcome by other staff as we were shown our seat.
Expecting to be limited by the low price we were shown the special menu, to our surprise it offers multiple choices within the deal. It all sounds to good to be true but it’s not, it’s a real find.
The food was prompt, pipping hot and in abundance, an indulgence but so worth it.
Trust me, won’t get a better choice in this area.
Stopped for daytime lunchtime special. Potato skins , pizza and ice-cream and with a couple of drinks £30 . Lovely food , staff not overbearing. Will definitely come again.
Great menu choice, can totally recommend the garlic mushrooms and prawn cocktail starters - cooked to perfection! Good choice of pizza and pasta dishes, prices reasonable and service is friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend and would love to return soon.
Fitted us in at short notice as passing through. Food was excellent and VERY reasonably priced. Really wish this was closer to home, as it would definitely be a regular haunt but 320 miles is a little too far
A Tuesday lunchtime, so we were concerned that any restaurant might be too quiet: however, there were about a dozen customers already seated when we entered around 12.10 pm. The atmosphere was helped by what I might call typical 'Italian restaurant music'. We were welcomed and sat immediately. An excellent choice of menus: a cheap lunch deal, a very good set lunch menu, a specials board and the main menu, with reasonably priced drinks. We chose from the specials and the main. We had starters and mains with a bottle of Sicilian red and couldn't manage dessert but finished with a coffee. Our bill was just over £60 but could have been a lot less with other choices. The service was excellent and helpful from the three staff on 'front of house'. This is our 'go to' when we are in Morpeth, which needs to be more often.
Exceeded my expectations, based on rather jaundiced reviews. Food was great. Love a perfectly cooked bleu steak. Service was responsive without being overbearing and our waitress Lydia was not at all grumpy, in fact very charming.
For the price point, the food can't be faulted. This classic Italian food is prepared, cooked and served to a high standard and it's absolutely worth the price you pay. The staff are ok and are friendly enough but one lady [I assume owner] is a little overly cautious of her newly refurbished vinyl seating. Not the first time it's been noted so for that reason 4/5. Slight tweaking in customer service would see this place a 5/5 and a firm favourite in Morpeth.
Meal very good, 3 course for £8.95. Staff lovely, the only thing, as friend is and I'm partially deaf, the music very loud. Pse bear this in mind as those in our situation can't help this therefore can't hear our conversations.
The fillet steak strips with spaghetti was so good! Starter of octopus with lemon and Eton mess for dessert were spot on.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who were happy to take the time to discuss the menu and wines.
Great food, great service and not expensive 😀
