On our way home from walking along the Cromford canal, looking for a dog friendly pub that also served food. Attentive, friendly staff with plenty of seating both inside and out with ample parking. Had a couple of pints of Directors which were perfect. Then ordered very tasty chicken and beef burger
Really nice traditional English pub. Food excellent and reasonable priced. Service great with lovely friendly staff. 15th August visited today and had another excellent meal.

A good selection of food at good prices. The lasagne was excellent, home cooked with plenty of beef, accompanied by garlic bread and salad. Washed down with a pint of Directors bitter. They happily accommodated our walking group on a very wet and muddy day! Thanks!
Small Inn in size but the food is to die for. Visited today with a group of 13 friends and everyone said the food was fantastic. Drinks and food are well priced and the staff are really nice. The place was packed so a lot of people must think the same as me. I suggest booking so you are not disappoi

Great small, family run country pub. Freshly cooked food, good beer, reasonably priced and a friendly welcome.
Went with my daughter for lunch. It was busy but not too long a wait. The smoked haddock and parmesan fishcakes were super off the specials board. I loved that there is a choice of potatoes so not just chips with everything. Just booked for 5 of us to go again next month.
