A Staggeringly good pub. Very friendly staff. Huge portion sizes, I had the Roast Beef, there was loads of it and it was delicious, yorkshire puddings, pig in blanket, potatoes, parsnip, lots of vegetables, stuffing. Had a dinner a couple of days ago and the food is very delicious! The environment is very warm and cozy, and based on the fact that it is in a village, you can see people treating each other like family inside the pub, which puts a smile in your face!
Recommended if you want a good dinner with good
What a pub!
Initially I was a bit skeptical because of the extensive menu, I was worried it was all going to be microwaved food but boy was I wrong. All the food appeared to be cooked fresh and the portions were amazing, very good value for money. There were several dishes that I was very impressed

The food is really good, the portions are large and the price kept low, great value. Land lady friendly and the place I like to eat the most on holiday, they have not bumped up the prices like so many others in the area. You need to book as quite small and very busy with holiday makers. Shame abou

Called in today after a run over the moors just as lunches were finishing. However staff were very accommodating and took our order. The mixed grill was one of the best I have ever had. Lovely friendly atmosphere and dog friendly too. Will definitely return.
I have eaten here many times over the last 15 years, the pub has remained in the same hands for many years. The food is always of good quality and reasonably priced, on the last visit there were 3 good cask ales on hand pub always in good condition. Well worth a visit.
