What a fantastic pub! We travelled over from London after hearing a glowing review from a friend. We arrived as a party of 7 which included our 91 year old grandma, my dad who has a brain injury and a baby. The staff could not have been more accommodating and allowed us to go through the staff area so that they didn’t have to walk far. The service was impeccable. Polite, fast and they were even interacting with our baby.
What can I even say about the food? I always have to slum it as a vegetarian with a sub par roast but this roast was delicious. Definitely the best vegetarian roast I’ve ever had. The nut roast was flavourful and delicious - something that is rarely found. The others thoroughly enjoyed their meat and said that it was tender and flavourful. Even the 91 year old who complains about absolutely everything couldn’t find a fault in her fish and chips.
I am not usually a dessert kind of girl but I couldn’t resist after seeing the menu. I had a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was fantastic. My mum said that the pineapple upside down cake bought her back to her childhood!

Lovely and welcoming. The chef must be 5 star creating delicious Sunday roasts with a truly home cooked detail. On one of the hottest Sundays the pub was cool enough inside to enjoy our food. Will be back very soon, handy overflow parking as gets busy. Thank you all for making our visit worth while.
We dined in today for Father’s Day and as always the food was stunning, great attention to detail and timely service. The staff are always friendly and we’ve never had a bad experience here.
I visited for a Sunday roast with some friends and we were all very pleased. Food was fantastic, the service was lovely and we really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere outside. Absolutely loved the citronella incense brought to the table to keep wasps etc away. Great idea! Will definitely be recommending to others.
This pub was kind enough to hold a fundraising event/quiz night for my place of work. Stunning country pub in a beautiful location, lots of spacious rooms and above all, the friendliest staff and most welcoming atmosphere. We raised a great amount thanks to the generous locals - and their hospitality was outstanding. The food was delicious and I will definitely be returning here very soon. Would highly recommend. First time visiting this pub after recommendations and thought it was lovely. Also disabled friendly which is a bonus as most pubs do not have good access. Food,service and ambience really nice. We will be back

What a lovely place. Visited with my daughter, partner and grandchildren. Warm welcome received. Great atmosphere and stunning location. Quick and friendly service. Food was just amazing. Too much for my daughter so nicely packaged to take home. Definitely going back. Thank you.
I live down the road from this pub, I haven’t been since the new owners and I must say one of the most amazing dinners! For a pub everything was spot on!

What a gem, having read the reviews we decided to ride over and see for ourselves! We were not disappointed greeted by Angie who was so lovely as we explained it’s our first visit , we sat outside on the decking everywhere was lovely and clean. The food was lovely, we tried the 3 small plates for £20 the Ribs were amazing then enjoyed a Meat feast flatbread .
