Enjoyed lunch and dinner here on two separate occasions. Service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional. The food was beautifully presented and it was clear that only top quality ingredients had been used. The set price menu on Friday and Saturday evenings represents excellent value. This lovely building has been sympathetically restored and provides a wonderful setting.
This is my number 1 restaurant recommendation if you are in Cotswolds. The staff are so friendly and the service is very fast. They have the best hot chocolate and on Friday nights they do a lovely cheese sharing board. The restaurant also has a very cute gift shop where you can get homemade jams, tea towers and crockery.
Excellent and fast service, very kind staff who went above and beyond to make sure my dog and I were happy. Treats and water were offered for my dog and my order was taken really quickly.
The steak sandwich I had was unbelievably soft and delicious, the halloumi fries were great and the addition of pomegranate seeds to them were incredible.
Coffee was great too. Overall had a wonderful time and we'll both be coming again.
Wow, what a fabulous little restaurant/coffee shop
Recently opened I believe, my wife and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to Bath.
The decor was fresh, light and spacious.
So pleased we did, we had the most delicious, tastiest Emglish breakfast I can ever remember having, worthy of any 5 star hotel
You can taste the quality of produce served.
The home-made baked beans were a revelation and at £13, reasonable price too.
Finally, the staff were so attentive and friendly.
Will definitely go back when next in the area.
Having met owner Craig one evening during a trip this weekend, we'd talked about No.1 with him and were really interested to visit for brunch on our way home today. It didn't disappoint - the coffee was delicious, the smashed avocado/poached egg on sourdough even more so, and my partner just about inhaled the full breakfast - the sausages were about the best he'd (and I'd) ever tasted. Beautifully decorated, with an atmosphere you could lose hours in. Polite and efficient service, and very attentive to dogs which helped us today given we were en route home with ours in tow. Will definitely visit again.
Had a lovely trip to the Cotswolds finished off with am excellent lunch at No. 1 Cotswolds. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and excellent food. Will definitely be returning when in the area. Would highly recommend the pasta and the haloumi fries.
This was my 3rd visit...the first two were disappointing (service issues), but I put it down to it being a new restaurant and it looks like the teething issues have been addressed......the third visit was absolutely faultless .. Delicious food, cocktails and service. We had a fabulous evening there. (Jackie was our waitress 👍)
As a local, I'm not sure it has a 'pop in' appeal, as it feels too formal to just pop in for a coffee and a cake ...I do feel the front part of the cafe could have been better planned/laid out for a more casual pop in. Also, the prices are definitely more of a restaurant experience vs a cafe.. which is fine, but it does mean, that I will probably only come for the occasional lunch/evening out.. (I'm an ex-londoner so I'm not adverse to paying premium).
Overall, a lovely place, definitely worth a visit.

My hubby, Ollie our 🐶 and I stopped at this wonderful cafe for breakfast this morning and so glad we did. A very friendly welcome from two lovely ladies started the day off brightly, making a fuss of Ollie and treats! We both had the Cotswold full breakfast which turned out to be one of the best we’ve had, quality ingredients, cooked perfectly 😋 setting us up for the day👍 Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again when next in Moreton in Marsh.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS !!!! We live in Moreton and are so excited that you are our neighbours now....We had Burrata & Heirloom Tomatoes, Whitebait & Tenderstem broccoli with a delicious Spicy Margarita cocktail.....The decor is not our taste but who cares when the food is SOOO good !! The staff are super efficient and wonderful too......A+++++++++++++++++++++++

Called in by chance to lovely smiles and a genuine welcome. Good menu choice for breakfast. All arrived promptly and was delicious. We will go back again.
Ate here on Saturday evening and would do so again (live locally). Good choice for vegetarians - with a bit of thought put into the options. Excellent service. A really minor point - it was quite quiet in the restaurant when we arrived and I found the 'service doorbell' a bit irritating, although we were quite close to it and it was less noticeable when it got busier!
Went for brunch which was lovely! Everything was really tasty including the full English, veggie full English & salmon with scrambled eggs. Nice coffee, lovely service and a cute little gift shop with local Cotswolds products.
The perfect location for a family 60th birthday celebration! We had private use of their gorgeous garden room (at no cost) for our group of 10 and the restaurant manager was so helpful and accommodating. The food is fantastic with lots of locally sourced ingredients, and plenty of vegetarian / vegan choices available, and we were all so impressed with the quality of everything that we had. The coffee is excellent too! Absolutely recommended.
Can't fault No. 1 Cotswolds at all, everything was perfect. We had the falafel burger and I must say it was delicious and massive. Very satisfied when we left. Staff were friendly and efficient A* for everything
Popped in with my son, on a Saturday morning while on a Cotswold bike ride - the coffee & cake were both AWESOME one of the best coffee's I have had in the Cotswold's and I've had a few! The staff, in particular ilinca are a real credit to this awesome new addition to the Moreton food/cafe scene, well done Simon, you've got a new regular!
Stopped for Brunch on the way to Stratford for the weekend. Really delighted with the food and service. Lovely homewares to browse. Highly recommend stopping here.
Ordered a soup after a long walk. The place is lovely, and the staff was amazing. The servers James and Lilly were great.
No. 1 Cotswolds was recommended to me for their coffee. It was so good I had 2 of them. Also had scrambled eggs and salmon on sour dough. OMG just stunning. Will definitely be going back.
First of all some very small points: the cakes would have been fresher if kept covered, and we haven’t yet tried the food as we went only went for coffee and cake.
However…this is probably the nicest cafe I’ve ever been to.
Beautifully decorated with exceptional attention to detail. Really one of the nicest environments I’ve ever been in-very modern yet not pretentious. Everything was served beautifully from mugs, to cutlery to crockery. The coffee was very good (not perfect) but it’s rare to get a better Cappuccino than this in Britain in my experience. The cakes were also delicious as were the fries we had. The staff were so friendly and professional (some were young and will, I’m sure, grow in confidence and experience, but they did look after us very well). I hope the brunch is just as good as this is our next visit plan! Please open on Sundays!
There are a lot of comments about the prices. Obviously, I cannot yet comment yet on the food. But generally, if the atmosphere and quality is very good and it’s difficult to rival it I accept paying at the top of what is reasonable. Yes it wasn’t cheap, but I certainly didn’t feel I overpaid for anything.
Overall, I cannot recommend enough and wish No1 Cotswold every success.
