An excellent variety of coffees, teas, hot chocolate plus pastries and sandwiches in a lovely location.
The terrace overlooks the nursery and is a lovely location for a tea and pastry (or a coffee if you wish)
There was a good variety of cakes and they were of a really good portion, and the sandwiches, although limited flavours, were good and chunky. Good value for money
We regularly visit the café at Batsford for breakfast as we have an annual arboretum pass. We reckon their bacon brioche baps (£5.50) are excellent. On this occasion, we had a vegan with us and she was offered the halloumi and avocado bap as a vegan option (£8.50) .She very much enjoyed it. Apart, from that not much on the menu was suitable for vegans and it would be good if they could improve their offering and make it clearer on the menus. The coffees were of the usual high standard and service at the self-service counter was pleasant. I do think offering customers the option to tip at a self-service restaurant is unnecessary as I would hope staff are paid a fair and reasonable wage in the first place.
Visited yesterday with my dog after walking there from Moreton, had not been since the cafe was extended. Nice choice of brunch items & cakes, soft drinks etc
You now can’t bring your dog to the counter, little difficult when on your own. A very nice young lad ( from the cafe) very kindly held on to my dog ( now my dogs best pal 😂) while I chose items at the counter ( my dog is a Cockapoo & would have caused chaos left by the table alone).
The young girl at the till directed me to the dog bowl & came straight over with water as bowl was empty & a treat for my dog.
May Avocado, poached egg on Focaccia was delicious , as was the Rhubarb drink ( not seen this variety before)
Thank you for making this a lovely experience after a nice walk through the fields & we shall be back.
Hadn't visited for years so very impressed with the cafe layout especially being in a wheelchair. I met family and we had a mixture of soup, sandwiches and chips, very nice. Staff are very friendly and even carried the food trays to our table so thank you for looking after us so well. Terrace outside is also wheelchair-friendly where we had an ice cream later with a lovely view.
Called in for a cup of tea and sandwich which was very tasty. The hot food looked nice but on this occasion did not sample it. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff.
Really nice food! Had fantastic hoisin salmon and noodles for lunch earlier in the week so returned today for breakfast 😊
Fantastic relaxed Sunday dinner, food was great service excellent, what a lovely place to eat
We chose a really lovely day to visit the food was fine and the Arboretum was as good as we hoped.
Food, coffee and service were all excellent.
Lovely crumble cake. Clean and bright setting.
