My wife and I have lived in the area for 36 years and have never ever been. After reading many of the poor reviews we were unsure. We were very hungry and and nowhere else seemed to be open so thought we would give it a shot.
On first impression all seemed clean and welcoming like a proper old school local pub.
Staff a little quite but after all it was a wet Monday in Morecambe and there were only a few punters.
Anyway after scouting the menu and deciding what to eat we both chose the American style burgers.
Didn't take long to and the food was on the table. I was shock by the size of the portion very generous, "it was a real tasty burger" fries nice and crispy beef dripping gravy was very nice food piping hot. From a first visit all in all i would be more than happy to go back.
Lovely meal had potatoe cheese and leek pie absolutely gorgeous good pint an added bonus they sold zenith which is my partners favourite pint and last but not least the staff was lovely
Having heard the news about having new managment, i came yesterday 6 of us and 2 children. Both children being dairy intolerant and there was plenty of choice for them both on the children's menu which is rare for pubs. Couldn't complain about anything, amazing food that came within a good timing, the pub was busy with the music festival but the staff were still on top form. Fantastic value for money! Will definitely be returning and will be recommending! The new management seems to have already made some big and better changes
Only went for drinks , nice afternoon sat outside in the sun lovely bar staff and nice selection of rose wines reasonable drink prices too thinking of going mid week for tea as the food that kept going passed us looked lovely .
This is a very great place to have a drink and the food it great. Me and my friends plus my guide dog love going there. The staff are friendly and welcoming to. Tge prices are good deals as well

Havn't eaten in the dog for about a year, after 3 disastrous meals on the bounce. Fabtastic steak thoroughly enjoyed our meal
Love it there great place good food my new fav pub to eat when I visit my mum in morcambe
We are regular visitors to Morecambe and have eaten at the Dog and Partridge many times over the years.
The pub is very well used and obviously popular. Unfortunately, this means it does look a bit "rough around the edges" and is probably due a tidy up here and there.
There was an hour long wait for the food, which we were warned about.
I found the menu a bit tricky to navigate, but that is just me. For basic pub grub, I just want to choose, point and order. The burgers, for example, we're "2 items from this" and "choose any 3 items from this".
I went for the scampi and chips which were only "alright".
The staff were all friendly and service was swift.
I think next time we visit Morecambe, we'll try somewhere else.
The car park is small and fills up quickly.
There is a ramp at the side door for wheelchairs although the interior is cramped, so booking ahead would be essential. The pub ground floor has a step down to the dining room, although there are plenty of tables in the main part of the pub.
Food was good and good service. Very noisy pub though
I was on my own & the young man serving was attentive & polite. I felt safe. The food was lovely too.
Nice friendly place, good parking, staff were helpful and efficient and the meal was not long to arrive, very happy with service and enjoyed my meal.
Excellent place for a bite to eat. Staff are all lovely and friendly food is excellent. A special mention to their breakfast with the grinch event which they pulled off flawlessly, a full pub of hungry children (and mums and dads!) Which they managed very well breakfast was served well and was delicious! The star of the show the grinch was outstanding entertained the children very well. I've been to plenty of breakfast with Santa's over the years which haven't been much to write home about, but this was different and very entertaining! Well done to all at the Dog And Partridge for organising a memorable event. Hope you repeat this event next year!
We are staying virtually 5mins away from this pub. It is really busy all afternoon serving meal's until 9pm. Great menu and good cask ales. We actually had the seniors 2 course meal for £5.95 and it was really good. Plenty of seating inside and out, we just eat there although we're self catering to it's that good 😊
Sports bar so football and sports played on TVs quite loudly (pro for some con for others). Food was "fine" but could tell most items were frozen. Microwave mash aunt bessies gravy but priced well

The food was really nice. Good value for money. The staff were really friendly.
Good pub food. Very reasonably priced. Worth booking in advance at the weekend as it gets very busy. I have only rated the atmosphere 4 stars as we were seated behind a large group who were very loud and swearing. In our party, we had a gentleman with a hearing impairment who used a hearing aid. He was struggling to hear us due to the noise from the large group. I asked the staff if we could move tables. They did allow us to swap although it did take quite a lot of persuading and we had to vacate the table half an hour before the next party were booked in. (Which we did.)
Food was great, with a big range to choose from.
Atmosphere great!
Staff great!
A little dated inside, a chair or 2 with stained seats, but unseeable once occupied 😉
The best place, I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, can’t say a bad word! They done a brilliant event for the kids for Halloween and can’t wait for Christmas too.
Came here for the first time on monday and the service from the 2 brown hair girls working was exceptional. Food was piping hot and quick, very good value for money azwell. Will defo be returning and recommending here
Food was great. Although very busy there was a great atmosphere. Had a couple of little issues (likely due to how busy it was) but they were rectified promptly. Lovely place.
What a great pub went yesterday for the bare music festival it was busy busy great time was had by all. The staff worked really hard would be great if they had some more outside venues in the summer months what an afternoon.
The pub was clean plenty of screens to watch the sport. We was there to watch the FA cup. Just a good local atmosphere with some good banter going. The food was very good.
Swift, friendly and efficient service. Good choice at the bar and extensive menu, had a kebab flatbread and friend corned beef hash pie, very fresh tasty and good value.
Excellent food. Excellent service the staff are really friendly. Good value for money. We love coming here.
Always love visiting the D&P. I had the curry from the two for £11.49 menu which was ok. My friend had gammon & eggs which was the better choice
A great local pub. Lovely food and friendly service. Great for sports too and a big outside seating area. Love it 👍
