Had a beautiful gluten free breakfast. Best in montrose. We went early but best to book to avoid disappointment.
Was delighted to be afforded a table as we knew we should have made a reservation but we were unsure of arrival time. Couldn't believe the beautiful food that arrived at our table - really scrumptious - definitely best baguette, chips and coleslaw I have ever tasted. Will definitely be taking the effort to travel there again to sample more items from the menu. Hard work of staff very much appreciated!!
We had a great brunch at Pavillon Café today. We had the table at the deck overlooking the garden and hiding from the wind. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered omelette with salad, coleslaw and chips, and aubergine ragu parmesan polenta. The dishes were very presentable and they tasted really good. The polenta was creamy and smooth, very well mixed with the ragu. There was so much filling in the omelette and the chips were crispy and well seasoned. We had a really good time there. Will definitely visit again.
After finding ourselves in Montrose due to bad weather, we decided to stop for lunch. We found the Pavilion Cafe through other reviews, which rated it very highly. We were not disappointed, the service, food, cleanliness, friendliness and taste of the food was amazing. Given the current situation, the staff politely served us, being careful about what they were touching, etc, whilst wearing masks and social distancing. I ordered the Chicken flatbread, my wife ordered Macaroni Cheese and my son ordered a baguette. The food was delivered quickly as were our drinks. The food tasted amazing, especially my flatbread. Would definitely recommend this fine establishment to anyone visiting Montrose.

Popped in for lunch during Montrose music festival. There was a wide choice of cooked meals - I chose sweetcorn fritters, hot smoked salmon and avocado mash from the specials board, which was truly excellent. Lovely setting in the park. Would highly recommend.
Pavilion is a lovely little cafe restaurant serving both breakfast and lunch. Advised booking as they only have a few tables and with what they offer, they're always busy.
Being first time tourists in the area we went here for breakfast. Their cut-off time was 11:30 and despite us arriving around that time they still served us quick and efficient. Had a bacon and egg roll with mushrooms and an eggs and bacon on sourdough.
They given un sightseeing advise and places that were well worth visiting.
The only downside in the entire visit was that we had no room left for their delicious looking cakes and had no chance visiting again to try their scrumptious looking lunch menu.
If you're in the area, local or tourist or just driving through, pop in, give them a visit, it'll be well worth it!
Been in 2 days in a row, the full breakfast was excellent and today I had the eggs special which was gorgeous. The staff are lovely and good for a laugh.
Had been hankering for a big brekki for a few weeks after having back to back things going on, could I find somewhere, nope 1st place we went to didnt have it and another day passed by then we found this place which we have passed many, many times but never really looked into it's purpose (shame on me thinking it was a bowling green) so finally we went in and omg the brekki was spot on!! Plenty of it too, brilliant service and had a look at the menu and they do some really nice alternatives and have a nice lunch me u also. I would highly recommend this place, service, ambience, food and cleanliness. I will definitely be back
Lovely little place. The staff were great, very helpful and good with the kids. The food was lovely and the hot chocolate was a fair spectical. Reasonable prices and as we were the last ones there they gave us the last 4 scones for free to save them going to waste. Awesome place 👌
Amazing! So much choice as a vegetarian which is rare. Awesome customer service and amazing food. Super tasty cakes. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back for another sit down.
