A cracking little unspoilt pub with an excellent selection of local beers.
Pleasant staff and regulars.
Well worth a visit.
Cracking pub. Only get the chance to visit every so often but always take the opportunity when we can. Four ales on tap, happy days. Pizzas on Wednesday’s.
Found it by accident as we were camping near by. Absolutely lovely quirky pub! We were made to feel so welcome by the regulars and the beer was great too.
Loved it so much we had to pop back in for a quick one today before we came home.
We will definitely return when we're back in the area again.
Cracking boozer, very lucky to have it as our local pub. Wonderful hosts Wendy and Rob.

Only pub I know with raspberry kopparberg. ... can't complain :P
Excellent start to a weekend in nearby Pontesbury by spending a few hours at this fine watering hole on the border with Wales on a Friday afternoon. You won't believe a pub in the middle of nowhere would be so popular!!
Went for a few drinks whilst on holiday.. can honestly say the nicest pizza we’ve ever had! Staff were pleasant and friendly! Definitely worth a visit!
A beautiful country pub literally on the Welsh Shropshire border ( the carpark is in Wales and the pub in England)
They keep and serve some Bostin real ales in here and the interior has old world charm , there is an old Well in the passageway which is worth a visit just for a gander at that . Highly recommended this fine Hostilierly
So friendly and welcoming. Pizza on the Wednesday were amazing. They also do pizzas Friday evenings. Fabulous pub to visit.
Excellent pub in a very quiet rural location. Friendly approachable staff and locals with a surprising amount of beers/cider on tap for the size of the place. Well worthy of a visit, especially on a Wednesday (pizza night 🍕)! Dogs are also welcome. It's also worth noting that they have a Facebook page, so if you have WiFi but no phone signal you can still book a table.
Excellent pub with good beer and atmosphere.
Nice pub, friendly staff and a good variety of drinks options. Also do events
Excellent pub very friendly. The pizzas are amazing. Cooked to order, all fresh ingredients superb. I can also recommend the garlic bread and cheese. They also do take away if you are in a rush.
Deep rural country pub on the England Wales border a few miles from Bishops Castle. Wet sales only (snacks on offer)but such a friendly village pub.
Visited this pub while on holiday and it is such a friendly pub! Pizza was absolutely amazing 🤩
