What a lovely find! Really good quality coffee, decent eats and really friendly staff. Ticks all round. We discovered when passing through for only a few hours and now jealous not to have such a cafe near us. Not trying to be too ‘hip’/cool…in many ways a better quality version of the usual chain cafes ie airy space. There were outdoor tables at the back which looked a good option, although we opted to watch the world go by on the high street instead. Although we don’t have a dog, it was great to see how welcoming they were to those who did with dog bowls and treats available

Very much enjoy coming here, they allow pets which is great! Staff are always nice and polite, nice environment. Food I had wasn't great if I'm honest, but still often go back for coffee and cake

Very nice place - tasty coffee and generous size cinnamon buns 😁 dog friendly- and I like the idea of each shop (there are few) sponsoring a different guide dog. Clever name - at first I thought Lab. was for laboratory- but the decor plus smart logo explained the name 🤦‍♀️ looks like there is one Coffi Lab. closer to us - definitely will be checking that one too!

I was holidaying locally and skipped the Premier Inn breakfast to eat here for a few mornings as it opened early. Loved the coffee and the breakfast baps brought in are tasty. Preferred the sausage to bacon one as I felt fuller after. The coffee was great and the cinnamon buns were a treat. About £13 for two but worth it for the relaxing ambience of the covered outdoor seating area. As the weather was warm it felt like being on holiday abroad. The staff are polite friendly and efficient despite it being early! Plus only a ten minute walk back to the hotel. I wish I had a branch where I lived!

It was so good to see all the dog lovers coming in for a cup o' coffee/ tea w/ their bestfriends/ fur babies !! They're definitely advanced more than U.S.in this perspective !! I saw lots of ,lots of people walking their dogs everyday in Wales / England happily going into cafes / restaurants w/ their dogs !! I've seen this in Carmel a long time ago in the late 80's so ...that place was a more pioneer ,maybe U.S. started it all ,but U.K.caught it up w/ it & made it better ? Tea was very good ,the staff were very nice / friendly ! I had a cream tea ( 2 scones ) & a piece of pastel of de nata ,which was good ,but the crust was a bit chewy more than crisp ( pastry crust ,not a real pie crust, I prefer pie crust easier to chew for my teeth & texture wise for this pastry myself .)The scones were good ,but not the best .They had a clean bathroom inside of the cafe .And accessible ,I believe ! And there was an outdoor area to have coffee/ tea/ meals in the way back ,sort of hidden ,it was a much bigger place than you expect from the impression by a glance at the front .The pictures on the wall inside about how they felt about dogs & having a coffee time were very nice to see / read !! I loved them !!Yes ,life should be simple !! And it's definitely better with your furry friends in it !!! 👍👍👍I think I made a right pick out of many cafes & restaurants in the area ! Although ,not fair to say it as I didn't visit many of 'em enough there ! I really loved this area !! So- peaceful & lots of greens surrounding & a village like town right by the Monnow Bridge !! ( Waitrose is right by the bus stop & across from the street ,I really liked that one !! A cafe inside of the supermarket, too ! Ant a toilet at the front by the entrance.) Kids were playing by / in the river there ! It's about a 55 min.bus ride from the city center of Newport .Be aware ,though ,some bus driver drive too fast !! 😅 I visited there for a couple of hours twice during my trip in Wales !! Welsh school kids are so sweet & cute !! I asked them for directions & they were so kind ,not pretentious like many kids in L.A. ! Lol. I highly recommend this cafe for all the dog / animal lovers to vist for a cuppa ,tea or coffee w/ their doggie companions !!! I had an organic fruit juice there ,too which was delicious 😋!!

I was impressed with the care taken by their barista to make sure each coffee was expertly prepared despite it being super busy . The result - a perfect flat white, and easily the best I've had in years! The stick cinnamon bun that went with it was delicious too 😋

Visited on opening day. Amazing place. Beautifully and aesthetically kitted out, inside and out. Friendly staff doing their best in their first, very busy, so challenging, day. Coffee is fabulous as are the range of cakes, sandwiches and snacks on offer. Can’t wait to visit again. Will bring us back to Monmouth again, with lots of family and friends. Dogs loved it too of course.

Excellent coffee and dog friendly too. It's our "go to" place for coffee. Can't say much about the atmosphere as it varies, but the staff are always welcoming.

You definitely can't this one if you are a dog owner. Too friendly for dogs. Had a cup of coffee and perfect ambience for coffee. (Coffee tasted like a COFFEE)
