Just happened to pass by here on a hot sunny summer day after England won world cup quarter finals so what can I say, great vibe! Sunny terrace and view on the old bridge.
We popped in for a coffee initially but had an all day breakfast in the end. The service was impeccable, the staff were lovely and the food was great!!
We will definitely be back the next time we hit Monmouth!!
Didn't sample the food but stunning beer garden overlooking the river and bridge. Perfect for drinking in the sun!
This place was absolute perfection for me. The food was stunning across the board, couldn't fault it. The music was upbeat and inviting. The staff are really approachable and welcoming and have great hospitality. This is one pub & restaurant in South Wales you don't want to skip out on.
We got there on a sunny Sunday afternoon and headed for the terraces to find there was a live band on and they were good too. Great atmosphere and a perfect Sunday afternoon by the river and bridge. Would have ha 5 stars but returned the next night to eat at 7:55pm to be told the kitchen closed at 8
Nice pub/restaurant set at the bottom of the main street near the main carpark and old gatehouse Bridge and with the river running behind it. Has a nice outside deck for drinks. Good simple food and modest prices, good Sunday roast too. friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Recommended.
A lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings and friendly, efficient staff. Our food came quickly and the food was well cooked. The only issue I found was that the tables were very close together so that you had to squeeze past other people and basically make them move so that you could get a drink
Lovely welcoming experience. We did not book and they catered for 7 of us. Lovely home made food, friendly places great atmosphere. They waitress was so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for the great service!! We will be back

Turned up for lunch with partner and puppy. We sat outside and it was lovely. Service was amazing, the food was lovely and 3 courses on a Sunday for £17.90 was a great price. We will be back for sure 😊
Brilliant pub had some lovely food and drinks here overlooking the river sat outside on the patio up high watching the world go by.. The meal was a little slow to come out but it was very busy and it was worth the Wait.... . Would recommend
