Stopped at Otter Valley for one of their home made icecreams (not the first time). They have so many amazing flavours made here on the Farm.
Big favourite with anyone who knows about the place and those passing through to go on holiday.
They also have a fabulous Pizza oven and most beautiful setting (see pics)
Reallt nice place that you will want to come back to again and again.
Great service, fabulous food and amazing icecreams.
Easy 5 Stars!!

Great stop with fantastic gelato. We got the rhubarb and ginger, toffee fudge, orange marmalade, and lime and lemon meringue flavours, which were all delicious. The lime and lemon meringue was our favourite, though! We also got some sandwiches for lunch. There is lots of parking and lots of seating. They are dog friendly but only in the outside seating area. The view is also lovely!
Popped in on the way home, the car park is rough gravel and would be a bit difficult in some wheelchairs and child buggies for that matter. There's a slope down to the shop, cafe toilets and the outside picnic area with fantastic views.
I had the coffee and mint as a two scoop and it was a very nice combination and the cappuccino I had was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful despite being very busy and even though it was near closing time. Toilets have an outside access so if you no need to go in the shop if you just need a pit stop.
Had a lovely lunch here food was great service was brilliant but have to say the star of the day was the excellent white wine made by a local vineyard English wine at its very very best. Thank you Otter valley Ice cream parlour for a lovely 2 hours. Oh and there own ice cream was excellent definitely will be back and really worth a visit views are to die for.
This was a wonderful stop for us as we travelled from Brighton to Cornwall along the A30. It's just off the main road, so very convenient for a pit stop, but much, much more than a pitstop. The building is like a large barn with glass everywhere, overlooking the beautiful Otter Valley. Plenty of tables and plenty of space between them. Really lovely pizzas and other more sofisticated dishes to choose from. I had a vegan mezze plate that I really enjoyed. Generous portions too and reasonably priced. Their ice creams are wonderful. The staff are really friendly. Good for all ages and dogs. Clean loos, plenty of parking. Literally nothing not to appreciate for me.
Visited twice now and will be a regular! Delicious ice cream and although there’s a queue (always a good sign) it does move fast. Generous amount of ice cream for a decent price. I paid £3.80 for my lemon and lime meringue on a biscoff cone. I’m already dreaming of going back!
Great quality breakfast and quality tea made with loose leaves but brewed well in the pot. Large barn-type (but still quite cozy) eating area with lovely view, friendly staff. Order at the counter and it's served to the table. We had the specials - eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine - both very tasty. The hollandaise sauce was a little runny, not 100% sure it was home-made, but still very good. Sourdough bread and eggs were very tasty. The ham on the Benedict was amazing.
It was open at 0900, which meant it was the logical stop having left the house at 0630. The otter breakfast looked amazing, and was (ahem) otterly brilliant. Butter perched on top of hot crispy toast so it was ready to spread, yummy sausage, yummy bacon, fab mushrooms and diced potatoes (loving the herbs), great view, fun people. Although we were tempted by the ice cream (sea buckthorn looked interesting), it would have made driving the last 90 minutes a bit tricky so - again - somewhere to investigate to a greater depth; but what we saw we liked. Toilets are outside in a separate building! they are clean, smell nice, and pleasant. Parking is good, and there is some space for a 'comfort' dog walk but perhaps not a proper one. Note that, unless they are a guide dog, your canine pal is not allowed inside the restaurant. There is a shelter outside but it's a little exposed to the elements so wrap up warm or leave pooch on the car.
Friendly staff and clean well spaced tables and seating. Slightly odd having to go out around the building and in a different door for the loos, but these were also well appointed. Chose to have "The Otter" which is their standard fried breakfast. Very tasty with hints of garlic running through the potato cubes and mushrooms. Fried egg has a firm yolk and I prefer mine runny but I am sure this would have been accommodated if I had asked. At £11 it is more of a treat than a regular for my budget but would certainly go again.
Stunning view, amazing helpful staff, spacious, clean and fantastic food. All wheelchair accessible, easy parking. Highly Recommended!
