My parents came down as part of a table of 14, I didn’t mention to them that I know the owners and asked them both for honest feedback, as I went to school there and paco’s old place was around the corner. They both enjoyed the experience and said the food was lovely. Only seemed to be a couple of staff who managed everything. The chips were a big part of the conversation with them being homemade. Well done. X

Recently taken under new management and the place has been transformed internally from quite dark and gloomy to fresh, light, and welcoming. There's a good selection of beers available from the bar, and food is served from the kitchen by an outstanding chef. Customers in the restaurant area can be overheard complimenting every dish they have tried here recently, which was reflected in the food we had during our visit here. Staff can't do enough for customers and will make it their utmost to accommodate requests wherever they can. Prices are great for the high quality and definitely worth every penny. There's outdoor seating with picnic benches and some under cover seating available. Bank holidays have also seen a children's bouncy castle put up so families can enjoy the outdoor space. Set facing an extremely old large church that is steeped in history going back to the 1800s, The Denbigh Arms can provide the perfect venue space for any services at the church. Theres is free parking at the rear. Some weekends have live music, and a karaoke night was recently trailed, which everyone there absolutely loved. If you're passing through, it's definitely worth a visit for a drink and some food. You might have to call through and book a table as it does get fully booked regularly. The onion bahji scotch egg is a game changer! Enjoy!

Under new ownership the Denbigh Arms has REALLY improved since my last visit. I had an excellent sirloin steak here last night and the panacotta was great. The service was warm and friendly and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. I’d recommend the Denbigh Arms and look forward to going back.

We just had the most lovely Sunday roast! Beef, Yorkshire puddings, perfectly cooked vegetables including cauliflower cheese. It was so good. Proper home tasting roast without the hassle obviosuly. Landlady Nicky makes all the desserts and I had the Biscoff Cheesecake, basically the kind of dish you make involuntary sounds of pleasure about whilst eating! Seriously recommend!

Wow, just WOW!! We stay in this village once a year to attend an event nearby. We almost didn’t go to the Denbigh Arms this year as it wasn’t great in the past BUT new people have taken it over and it’s just FABULOUS!! No more grumpy staff. Everyone so polite and helpful. Nicky and her chef partner have totally transformed this place!! My wife had “the best steak she had ever eaten” and both my dishes were PERFECT too. Price was very reasonable for such top class service and excellent food. If you at the Denbigh Arms, pay a visit to Stonehurst Farm, about 30mins away. Fab place to go.

Superb location below the village church. An old English pub, serving great food and fine ales. A varied menu catering for all tastes. The 4 meat Sunday carvery at about £8 is fantastic (as is the smaller mid week one) other days 2 steak meals for £10 is very popular
