What can I say. Second Saturday on the trot and again the food, the company, the staff, the locals and the beer, all exceptional. Last weeks lamb shoulder and this weeks feathered beef followed by cheese platter. On a score out of five, this kip gets six. It’s that good. I can heartily recommend it to anyone.
Lovely friendly atmosphere with a traditional ambience and open fires during the winter months. Can get busy at times with theatre goers so it would be advisable to book if arriving early evening. Menu is very good, but very limited on steak choices (rump only) but the quality of food is fantastic, Starters and mains are slightly more expensive than some other places but as a treat or special occasion its well worth it. I would certainly recommend Glasfryn
The Glasfryn is quite simply a lovely place to eat & drink. You have a great menu to pick from ,the service is first class as are the cask ales available ,go on give it a whirl
The fifth visit and never been disappointed, the service, the food and the surroundings deserve five stars. I had the top side beef that was lovely and tender my only comment was it could of done with a little more beef but then perhaps I am bit greedy .
Superb Sunday roasts. My husband had beef and I had pork. Couldn’t fault anything. Plates and food lovely and hot. Excellent portion sizes. Cooked to perfection. Will definitely return!
We were here yesterday and both ordered the roast. It was very tasty and the varied veg selection was delicious. What was disappointing was no children's menu. We ordered a light bite smaller plate roast for my 4 yr old granddaughter but this was far too big. A little overwhelmed by it all she went on to leave most of it. Just a thought for those of us who eat out with little people.
Lovely helpful staff, very tasty food and a cosy atmosphere. Well worth going and going back again and again.
Excellent place for our lunch stop. Great food, large portions and attentive welcoming staff

Beautiful place .. lots goin on... great selection of fine food n drinks Xx
The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
The food I had was okay but nothing to rave about, sadly. It certainly would not stop me from returning in the future though.
The views from almost anywhere on site were amazing and I really liked the fact you can sit outside comfortably. There were heat lamps and blankets were also provided. The establishment was dog friendly which brought a nice familiarity to the place.
Higher end chain eatery. Pleasant surroundings and lovely personal customer service. Food arrived in a timely fashion and was presented really well, tasted lovely with reasonably sized portions.
I really enjoyed this pub. The staff were really friendly and the food was a cut above the normal pub grub. We had the crispy squid starter which was lovely. I had the Cajun chicken burger which was v nice and she had the crispy beef salad which she enjoyed The beef salad was big and packed full of crispy beef. The pub its self is really nice with a cozy atmosphere. They allow dogs in the bar area which is fab. They had a snooze while we were eating.
Nearly everything was good. Difficult to know who were staff, no standard dress and could have been customers. An hour or two of waiter training and attitute would go a long way. Who seemed to be restaurant supervisor not a happy person. Food portions were over large and a size choice could reduce food waste which was evident seeing other table clearances. Not sure if doggie bags were available as didn't ask. Definitely go again but will investigate light bites. Our group were over average age so could account for some of review content. Choice of food excellent and allergy sufferers catered for.
My wife and I went today to celebrate her birthday. The food and service were excellent. I had a king prawn starter and the beef skirt main both very good. My wife had soup and then bacon chop main. The only complaint was that the chop had too much mustard sauce for my wife's liking, obviously not the restaurants fault. The service was well paced and friendly. We will definitely be back.
A real nice place for a sunday lunch, visiting wales with family everyone had scrummy food , all staff very helpful and attentive well recommended 😀 👍
We booked a last minute dog friendly table and sat near the bar to order food. This is a great find if you’re in the area. The menu changes regularly to reflect the seasons which means everything is cooked fresh and locally sourced. The crispy squid was simple but delicious and fresh. We also had the burger and crispy beef salad, and again both were top notch. There was so much beef, I couldn’t even eat it all. Very good portion sizes and great service from all the staff.
This place is consistently on the money for food, service and atmosphere. Location is great either gardens and outdoor heated area to sit. My only complaint is that the drinks are very expensive for what is really a gastro pub. Other than that, worth a visit.
I visited this restaurant with my wife on a warm evening. Parking was easy as it has a huge car park. We chose to sit inside as we wanted to eat and the lawn tables were "drinks only".
There was a lovely atmosphere about the place and the staff were kept really busy. Our young waitress was charming, even offering treats for our dog.
The meals - braised shin of beef and king prawn curry - were excellent; way above normal pub grub. The desserts were also excellent and all the food pretty promptly served.
I am only sorry I live over 60 miles from this restaurant and it is not my local.
Real walsch food. Great food. Beautiful surrounding
Excellent food, loads of choice, lots of gf and vegetarian options. Lovely atmosphere, highly recommended.
This is a great pub just outside Mold. Top place to sit outside and enjoy a few drinks in the sun.
Equally as good for a family gathering or food with friends.
The food is pretty good. The smoked salmon tortellini was really fresh and light.
The ham and cheese croquettes, a bit heavy on the ham and low on the cheese, were slightly large for a croquette but still tasted fine.
The chicken, ham and leek pie was delicious. Served with a buttery mash, greens, a carrot and a nice white wine and tarragon sauce.
The service was really helpful and friendly.
Worth a visit!
Stopped off on our way back from Harlech. Lovely steak sandwich and tandoori wrap with a couple of cool drinks. Very pleasant garden terrace, overall a lovely venue.
Visited on a Monday evening so very quiet, lovely service. Food was great. Really enjoyed our time and could easily hold and conversation.
Had a lovely meal, I've not been for a while but pleased I did on this occasion. Great menu
