Went last night with a good friend who was home from the states. What a wonderful experience. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't live up to all the good reports and recommendations I had been given. Need not have worried. We went for the taste the menu option and went with the recommended wine for each course. The combination of perfect presentation, delivery from the exceptionally knowledgeable and genuinely friendly staff and the taste of not only every dish but the actual parts of each dish was outstanding. I'm not normally a wine drinker but every selection just fitted beautifully with its paired course. To say we had a great night is an understatement. The owner Chris took the time to come and speak to us afterwards, a true gentleman. It was great to hear his history, his links to Northern Ireland and his obvious love and vision that he has in bringing his family back home and building the business from the ground up. To sum up, back to the food. I got to try so many things I have never tasted before and loved it all. On the recommendation of one of the servers and because all the food throughout was exceptional we stepped out of our comfort zones with desert and ordered the gooseberry souffle. I have never enjoyed a desert like it !!! So thank you Chris and your wonderful staff, being able to get this quality at home just makes me so happy and proud. I will be back very soon.
Our lovely friends took us to the Wine and Brine for dinner and such a delight it was. The starters, dinner, and dessert was delicious and prepared to perfection. It was the best food we have eaten since our visit to Northern Ireland from Florida this past month. The staff was gracious and friendly, and they went out of their way to give us the best dining experience from start to finish. Thank you, Gerry and Sandra Marks, Paul and Debbie Templeton for this wonderful evening at the Wine and Brine.
Don't dine in Wine & Brine unless you want ... a warm and personable welcome ... friendly, helpful and professional service ... relaxed and inclusive ambience ... excellent, varied and tasty food ... and those little extra touches that money just can't buy- such as 'Happy Birthday' pipped on our Son's dessert!! This was our first time, but it will not be our last time. This was perhaps the best dining experience I have ever had! Thank you, Wine & Dine.
Simply DELICIOUS! If you are looking to try something special and different you must go here. The food is excellent, with top class waiting staff who know every detail of the menu and all at a very reasonable price; Only £4 for starters, £10 for main & £4 for desserts. I can't wait to go back again
Great food! Beef shin and potato starter was AMAZING! And one of the best burgers I have had in ages. Such a good restaurant and plenty of room for the pushchair
Beautiful food, lovely ambiance and brilliant waiting staff. Couldn't recommend enough
Excellent food, cooked to perfection, quirky menu with some unusual combinations! Very impressed! Staff were attentive and very warm!! Definitely lived up to the hype..
This was our first visit, very impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back.
Probably the best value fine dining experience in the whole of Northern Ireland. At £30 for 3 courses with it's lunch and early evening menu, there is no skimping on getting bang for your buck!
My only criticism would be that I always treat myself to a hors d'oeuvre and, whilst the menu gets changed the hors d'oeuvre don't!
We had Sunday Lunch here and it was nothing short of sublime. In every respect a truly delightful dining experience. The food was beautifully prepared and the presentation executed to a very high standard.
The portions are perfect, striking that balance between culinary excellence and high end dining with the need to be sated.
What makes this establishment 5 star for me is the service. A member of staff named Fiona mainly attended to or needs. She was mindful of our needs without being overbearing and easily chatted away at appropriate moments in a warm, friendly and genuine way.
For 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 9, 3 courses, drinks and amazing Latte's came to £120. We will be back soon!
Had options from the set menu at a working dinner. The salmon starter was terrific and presented daintily with sesame seed tuile pieces. My lamb main was cooked perfectly and the sauce and sides complimented the dish exceptionally. Lemon meringue for dessert rounded off a great meal. I was driving, so couldn't sample their drinks list, except for their post-dessert coffee, which was tasty. Their upstairs suite catered to the work bit of the evening well. Service very attentive.
Another wonderful lunch at Wine and Brine, great seasonal menu, nice ambience and fantastic value for money. As it was a family celebration it was also enjoyable to make use of the extensive wine list! Thanks to Davina and the team
When you start your meal with a simple request for bread and you get the most delicious flavoursome bread I’ve tasted in a long time ,including a brioche bun oozing with a cheese sauce filling … you just know your in for a stellar meal . Stunning food ,fresh and cooked to perfection . A great restaurant that we shall certainly revisit again . Hats off to to a great team !
We had an amazing meal and experience. Delicious food and really reasonably priced. We had the lunch menu 3 courses for £25. A great kids menu too. A lovely venue and attentive staff. We'll be back!
This was my first visit to the restaurant and I was certainly impressed with the delightful atmosphere and memorable taste of flavours in each of the dishes served up.I have been recovering from illness during the visit and therefore my appetite wasn't able to fully appreciate the beautiful dishes set before me.Fortunately my life long friend Martin compensated for this visit by virtually licking his
plates. When my health improves I will be be making a bee line back here. The staff were superb and explained the contents of the menu with great passion and detail and are to be commended. The restaurant had an informal aura and showed no signs of pretentious which is a breath of fresh air. This restaurant doesn't need a Michelin Star,it's fine as it stands and long may it continue.
A beautiful restaurant with delicious food.
Lovely staff that was friendly and attentive.
Will be back again to try their set menu.
We went at 7pm on a Thursday evening, the rush was just ending and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere that gave us space.
Excellent food , service & atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant, highly recommend.
My twin brother and our other halfs had our 40th birthday dinner here, the food was amazing. It was such an experience with each plate not only tasting delicious, but looked so appetising and artful. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and we did get some chocolates as it was our birthday. Its very comfortable inside and overall just a great restaurant.
