I Was at Brodie’s last night with my husband for a meal and it was delicious.... as I’m vegan I thought I would struggle to get something to eat but Brodie’s actually drafted up a vegan menu for me and it was amazing .... my husbands food was delightful so he says .... can’t recommend enough we will definitely be back.
Thank you
I had a lovely afternoon tea with my friend yesterday 1st class service , beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff The sandwiches and cakes to die for mmmm . I'll definitely be back and I would not hesitate to recommend Brodie's well done everyone x
Brodies hosted a hen party for 14 of us last Saturday! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were so friendly, helpful & attentive. The restaurant & the gin bar were both fantastic & the decor was gorgeous! The staff even went the extra mile to decorate the table for us. A big thank you for a great day.
Brodies has a lovely atmosphere food is excellent always cater for myself being Coeliac and requiring gluten free. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They also have an excellent gin bar with quirky decor we just love it. Had dinner there on Friday evening and was not disappointed food amazing. Can't wait for our next visit. The Maxwell's
Had Afternoon Tea yesterday with friends and absolutely loved it. Everything was excellent - the food, the surroundings and the friendly attentive service. First visit to Brodie's but will definitely be my place of choice when I am next in Moffat. They have an excellent selection of Gins so will have to return to sample a few when not driving. Haha.
Had a wonderful meal there last night for my mum's 80th birthday. Lovely small touches e.g. star confetti on the table and a birthday candle on the dessert. Food incredible. Memorable night. Would give 10 stars if I could!
Thanks for a wonderful Hogmanay. Fantastic food, gintastic gins, great hosts and staff all made for a wonderful night.
Simply fab, food, atmosphere and service! Our family had the most amazing dinner here last night to celebrate new year! Couldn't fault it.... Thank you to all concerned.... Would definitely recommend this unique place...
We didn't actually eat there, but sat for 2 or 3 hours in the gin lounge just relaxing, in great conversation with friends, and watching the world go by. Great atmosphere, really comfortable, like having friends round for drinks in your own living room. Definitely will be back. Well done to all the staff for creating a welcoming place ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely beautiful place, lovely atmosphere, delicious food & drinks & the staff are wonderful - nothing is a hassle. Highly recommended - especially the afternoon tea!
Absolutely beautiful. And very reasonable food prices too My only gripe is why soft drinks are so expensive when we all know how much they cost in the supermarket, never mind cost from supplier
Picked this place to meet up with some friends and it was perfect. Service was perfect, a light lunch with nice desserts were required and it was exactly what we got. Very Reasonably priced. 👍
Thank you. Amazing food ant atmosphere. Stunning interior design and attention to the details. We would definitely go back some time and will highly recommend . Alexander and Angelika. East Yorkshire
Lovely food, in fact perfect, although smallish portions which would have been fine apart from. read on…loved the girl who’s specialty was to guess your main course. Exceptional gazpacho, coming from someone who had a house in Spain for 20 years! Lovely pork 2 ways. Asparagus starter for the wife had 1 spear cut in half, but hey ho, black halibut was perfection. Great atmosphere and got talking to a lovely couple on the next table. The bad points, I’ve got to be honest here, we didn’t get asked about the sweets, and you do need a full 3 courses, and by the time we realised it was a bit too late. Then had to call staff over for coffee and brandy ( served in a warm glass, brownie points abounding) and had to call over again for another one, could have had a good few more brandies but couldn’t be bothered, if I had been asked I would have started on the large ones. Prices very reasonable and food delicious.
Dined here last night 3/11/23. Amazing food cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault the service ~friendly without being intrusive. Great atmosphere. Which I lived local would definitely frequent often. Thank you for a lovely evening.
We had a warm welcome in a nice atmosphere, we had our drinks in a cozy lounge while they were preparing our food and table. The food was excellent, I would say the best I had so far, and also the drink were very good. Reasonably priced.
On holiday from Australia, driving around the UK and dropped in for lunch. What a great move this turned out to be!
Friendly, warm welcome, with great food at reasonable prices. Some cafes have been a bit hit or miss, but Brodies was great and we're only sorry that we've moved on and can't go back.
Perfect place for pre dinner drinks and dining. Lovely and funny owner.
Great location in Moffat. Food options are brilliant, including great gluten-free main meals and desserts. Staff are so warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect. Parking outside and great walking locations nearby too.
We visited today. We turned up needing a table for 5 plus our dog (lab). The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our dog even got a treat. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again when we are next in Moffat.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Brodies. Although Scotland caters for dog owners very well, our first choice on the high street didn't. In a way I'm glad it didn't. The welcome we received was very pleasant and we were seated in a nice quiet section towards the rear of the restaurant. I had homemade fishcakes accompanied by some excellent fat and crispy chips. Portions were generous enough that unfortunately we were too full to sample dessert. The tartare sauce was/is so good I asked where they purchased it from, only to be told it was made on the premises. I am sure this is not the only review to extol its virtues.
Service was timely and pleasant. When we revisit Moffat next year we will beat a path to Brodies door.
Stopped by Brodies for lunch on Sunday. Ended up having a Sunday Lunch. It was fantastic, such good quality beef, homemade Yorkshire puddings and the best gravy ever (it takes them three days to make, so full of flavour). We've been quite a few times but it's the first we've ever had the Sunday Lunch, we will definitely be back soon for a repeat!
Very dog friendly too, our wee dog Eddie loves people watching here!
Fabulous setting for afternoon tea. The scones especially were lovely. Slight crunch on the outside but soft in the middle. Great value and well worth a visit.
It was lovely to revisit Brodies again, the food as usual was exceptional, Russell's Picnic Pie was delicious as was the bean soup. My wife Elaine enjoyed the savoury tart and salad. Alex looked after us, and it was nice to meet him again.

We had lunch here twice over the past week and loved it both times. The staff (especially the owner) are so accommodating and lovely. The Aubergine Panini and Fish cakes are particularly good. Very dog friendly. Portions are good and the atmosphere is so welcoming.
Good quality food with very pleasant helpful service.
It tends to be quite busy so probably advisable to book.
P.S. They allow well behaved dogs which can be useful if you are stopping off during your walk
Probably somewhere around 7th or 8th time eating here. Tonight was difficult to choose a starter. I’d happily have all of them. If I was to rank Brodie’s on anything, it’s consistency. The menu always gives you challenges in choice. Not a bad thing. The food pars with most restaurants in Glasgow in similar price range. Can some times excel above.
I’ve read reviews with criticism of staff. For goodness sake, give them a break! They’re young and enthusiastic. Communicate with them. They’ll respond and you’ll have a fantastic time.
Brodies was like a beacon of hope as we trudged back through Moffat after a walk in the pouring rain. Its glowing windows called to us in the darkness! Warm, comfortable couches, amazing atmosphere, a lovely bottle of wine and great staff.
Beautifully decorated in a nice setting, with a limited but refined menu. It's a shame that the service is so disgraceful, without a smile or even a kind word. We visited today Aug 26th for Breakfast at 10 am.
The best tearoom/restaurant I have been to in many years.
Highly recommended 👌
I'll be back 😎
We had an absolutely lovely lunch. The staff was very friendly and quick to take our order. The food was amazing and the brownies in particular were to die for. The atmosphere was also welcoming and relaxed. Would definitely recommend anyone stopping by for lunch.
