Absolutely beautiful pub had the breakfast which was gorgeous and well worth its money worth a visit.
Hurry up and build your lodges and pre book us in for festival next June.
Breakfast was tasty and very good value! Service was great and friendly staff... would definitely come back again.
A very friendly pub with a welcome for everyone. As an ale drinker, the beers were excellently kept by the landlord who clearly has great cellar skills.
Dropped in on the way back from centre parts. Fantastic pub, very welcoming. Enjoyed a nice meal to end a nice week. Highly recommend. Special thanks to Jessica.
After dropping of our 3 youngest children in milton, we were at a loss. So decided to try this pub. (Only one never been in) we ordered a meal. Staff were friendly, liked a banter, the place was clean and tidy. The beer was good. Our meals arrived fresh, hot and very tasty, not to expensive but very filling. We will definitely be going again.
I love what they do in terms of sticking to Italian food principles. They use best local produce and cook an Italian meal from it. I've been several times now and on each occasion the food has been outstanding and the service warm and friendly. The shocking thing is the price - it's low for food of this quality. You would pay as much in one of those terrible pseudo Italian chain restertaunts.
Great lockdown pizza. Easy to order and efficient collection.
Myself and four friends went to the Waggon and Horses today. We had the Carvery and key lime pie it was absolutely gorgeous. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Pity the coffee machine was not working. We will be back. Thankyou very much
I endorse this pub for the following reason: dining out in UK is generally 'painful' as it can be expensive and the portions are rarely generous. I mean you are not encouraged as you are in Greece and Spain for example! The actual management, while I am speaking, offers a menu (yesterday they delivered an excellent pizza!) with reasonable prizes that has boosted the experience in the pub (previously an 'Osteria' tagged as 'expensive'). The atmosphere is friendly and you feel like you can order more because it is fair. Well done. Keep going.
Staff are very friendly, food is good and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Great pub to spend the evening in! Friday and Saturday is pizza night which shouldn't be missed.
I must admit I tend to avoid Italian restaurants outside of Italy, but I took my parents here and we certainly had the best Italian meal I've had so far in the UK. Definitely worth a try, although it's a bit on the expensive side. (September 2015)
A friendly welcoming pub who really put themselves out to host an end of season celebration party for our Milton Colts U13's football team on what was already a busy weekend for them (beer festival, FA Cup Final & Royal Wedding). Thank you for looking after us so well.
An incredibly beautiful pub, with a wonderfully rustic family vibe!
Reasonably priced (for Cambridge) and wonderful staff! Highly recommend.
Delicious again. Have been living in Cambridgeshire for 7 years and just found Ostetia Waggon & Horses. I can't believe this restaurant isn't packed every night. It is better than most locally and well worth trying.
Positive reviewers from 2 years ago will be far from disappointed by a return visit.
The Waggon changed hands about a year ago and new hosts Dave Louise and Rob (alphabetic order deliberately) are keeping the familiar favourites whilst adding new options and their own style.
New menus with locally sourced food, new pipes for the Elgoods favourites together with a wide range of guest and regular beers with 14 on draught plus an interesting cider in the cellar added to friendly service with a good sense of humour make for an excellent watering hole.
Oh yes, when the weather gets back to warm, the new garden bar adds to the family friendly atmosphere.
