Lovely Indian restaurant in Xscape, a fun and busy location in the city centre of MK.
Friendly, dedicated, polite, and attentive staff. The chef came out now and again to chat with the diners, which was really nice.
Authentic indian decor and menu. Enticing menu list, but a bit overwhelming. A slightly shorter list could help customers select easier and faster.
Our meal was absolutely beautiful and delcious. From chilli prawns and chilli chicken with special fried rice, to lamb lahor, pilau rice, and coconut nann bread.
They even have a wide vegan selection.
The food looked too good and I couldn't wait to dig in so forgot to take photos like I normally do.
It's a little pricey, but worth it. I definitely recommend.
***UPDATE ***
Went back again for more of the delicious food and I was not disappointed. I remembered take photos this time.
I also took 1 star away from service as I wasn't too pleasd with it this time around. Too many cooks (managers), should I say. By the time the waitress who was attending to our table and had taken our orders had arrived with the plates, one of the managers had already come to place plates on our table. Embarrassed, the waitress turned back and went away to return the plates.
Plus, they were practically rushing customers out the minute you had finished eating. They just bring the card machine to you even when you haven't asked. I still has a full glass of drink when the machine was unexpectedly brought to our table. I was very disappointed!!
This is my first time visiting a Punjabi restaurant and I really enjoyed it here. Their food was nice, great customer service. Beautiful and aesthetic place but it's kinda small and choking. Went with my family of 6 and it was kind of too tight for us to move about. But I think I can come back for the food.
Also the food and quite affordable too. The sauce ranges between £7-£30.
I will rate it a 4 star.
Chicken curry of this place is spicy, tangy and so delicious. Popular fast food Pizza served with seasonings. They serve the good taste of different varieties of Pizzas. Pizza and chicken curries, the most popular and loved Indian food. This place is your destination in Milton Keynes to have one of these delicious treats. They have a variety of vegetarian options available for dine in. The atmosphere is beautiful and there is a lot of space to sit. One of the highly recommended place to visit.
Visited yesterday and i was so pleased. The food was amazing especially the butter chicken. Alhamdulillah Will be visiting again
Knowing that restaurants get filled very quickly, we booked eat at Namji after having hit the slope at Snozone. I'd heard good things about Namji so was looking forward to it.
The décor feels authentic with traditional cooking items placed around the room. The colours and floral arrangements add warmth and vibrancy to to the room. You can't help but feel uplifted. The menu was surprisingly large and has plenty of choice of lamb, chicken and vegetarian to suit your requirements. A special nod goes to the wording on each of the dishes which feels heartfelt if at times a little cheesy.
The food itself was fantastic. Bold flavours, good spice which can be tailored to your comfort level and portion sizes that are about right. The emphasis is much more on home style cooking and this is only a good thing with the dishes tasting fresh and unique.
Service we found to be friendly and attentive. I would happily return and recommend Namji to others.
Overall the experience was very good. The food was amazing. Rarely get authentic food like this. Service could have been better as food took time to come but worth the wait for sure! Variety of food options , music was good and the decor of the restaurant reminded me of the Pakistan Asian culture. Spoken to one of the owners , he was polite and hospitable. Thank you and will be coming back soon again !
Very warm welcome from the front of house followed by extremely good service throughout the evening.
Food was delicious, and all ordered in our own time. Never felt rushed and a great family atmosphere.
A great evening celebrating a new shed for a dear friend.
Will be back.
Spent a fantastic evening here with family and friends. Amazing food, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Walked the uneducated among us through the menu. The food itself was top notch. Each dish was spiced to the individuals preferences and fresh. The place just gives off good vibes, very enjoyable evening. If you haven’t tried it, get yourself down there you won’t be disappointed 5* can't recommend enough and will be back there very soon
In town for the weekend picked Namji at random very clean restaurant and decor done very tastefully. We got a takeaway food was very nice. We poped back in the morning for breakfast again food was fantastic. The only thing letting down is waiting for takeaway we waited over an hour. For breakfast restaurant had 3 people at a table only we waited an hour again for food other then that all good staff really friendly and helpful.
Had a leaving event for one of our colleagues last night. There was about 40 of us - and we had the upstairs area to ourselves. The service and food were great. Naseem and her team could not do enough for us and of course the food was delicious and a lot of it. We all went home very full and satisfied. Thank you guys, will definitely be back. If you have a company event, and are not sure where to go, please give this restaurant a try.
Had a lovely meal with my family at Namji’s. The food was fresh and we got to choose our own spice level which is a great idea. The customer service was fantastic from start to finish. Will definitely be eating here again.
It's always a delight to go to Namji's.
And to be delightfully spoilt and looked after by Malik, Naseem and all the staff.
Visited again this evening with my friends Ameet and Rav. Who weren't aware of Namji's reputation and how amazing their food is. As they were visiting from London.
Malik and his staff always go out of their way to look after me and the food is always piping hot, cooked to perfection and it's just delicious!
Thank you again Malik and Naseem. It's always a pleasure eating here.
I will definitely be back again soon.
Wow what an experience at Namji Xscape! The food and the staff were absolutely amazing. I don’t like my food too spicy so I was very impressed that you could choose how spicy you would like the food or no chilli at all, as it’s all made fresh to order. If you’re looking for a restaurant to dine with family and friends, Namji is the place. The staff take very good care of you.
The food was outstanding, it had a real home cooked quality to it. No identikit Samosa's or sweet butter chicken in sight here. Only reason I am docking a star is because the service is a little sluggish and the lack of fresh beer to go with the meal.
Simply the best. It’s incredibly authentic and delicious. You forget immediately that you are in the Xscape building once you entered the nicely decorated location. The staff is super friendly and pays a lot of attention. Will be back soon.
Was there again on the 25/10. This time at 12am right at the opening as the first guests. You would guess that the kitchen is maybe still cold and you don’t get the best out of it… but this was not at all the case and all we had was super yummy. Thanks Namji
Excellent food, proper traditional Punjabi Food. Loved the food. The owner could have been more interactive to go the extra mile. The food was fantastic. Best in MK if your Asian and want traditional Indian food
