Great place, friendly staff - live music good food and great prices for bear. Can and only recommend! Also Albie is a great bar person, managed to enchant us while being here!

Popped in today for the first time, lively pub with the football on so pretty busy. Really nice friendly happy staff. The food was really good and decent portions, our only gripe was the time waiting for it (an hour and a quarter) but we were told that they was having trouble with one of the burners in the kitchen so fair enough. This would have been 5* rating otherwise. The lady did offer us free drinks & a dessert by way of apology which was good of her. If we was passing by again we'd definitely stop in again.
A very well run, spacious pub with a hands-on landlady who runs a good ship. Very clean and neat, excellent covered area for smokers, and a well tended, spacious garden. Much better than it was under previous management.

My first visit to Halleys for a couple of years. I walked in to see Anna's beautiful smile. Really impressed that she not only remembered me, but also recalled my name and drink of choice!! The pub looks excellent since the refurbishment and the welcome tops it off. I cannot recall the last time I recommended a pub as a great place to visit, but I feel that Halleys Comet is really worth a recommendation. It might be your first time here but everyone makes you feel welcome and you will really enjoy the new experience. If I was to mark the new Halleys out of ten then j would give it a ten. I believe that with Anna at the helm I will still be giving it a ten in years to come. We'll done Anna, you have turned it round. I only have one request. Keep giving me that beautiful smile when I walk through the door. It is priceless. A number of months later and it is still improving. For an excellent night out, come to the pub on a Thursday night for something called Disco Bingo. Yes, it is bingo played to pop songs throughout the years, and it's great fun.
Our pack of brownies had a fab meal served by happy ladies who assisted the younger ones Landlady made a girl with milk Allergies smile and happily ate her icecream cone as well as the rest of her friends thank you Anna

This pub is amazing and the amount Anna does for families and children is unreal and its always so welcoming and warm hearted. My children always look forward to the activities that are put on during the half terms. There is always something for everyone going on and Anna always has events on for charity.
Excellent service and good, nice friendly atmosphere, only marked it down to 4 as it was a bit noisy for my elderly mum, but to be honest it was friendly noisy!!
Great estate pub next door to local shop tv sports free wi-fi jukebox friendly staff great food and menu pool table and dart board toilets are clean great covid-19 avoid and social distancing i went today and had a great time and played 3 games of pool and put 7 songs on the jukebox with a diet coke and bbq crisps i even had lunch here i had sausage and mash it was lush i love this pub so much been 4 times now
Nice pub . Pool table ,big tv's for sport and big beer garden.
Visited the pub with friends to play Disco Bingo. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Disco Bingo was great fun and hopefully will visit again soon.
We just got back from a really fantastic meal here, the staff were all super friendly and Kallie (spelling!) especially made us feel extremely welcomed coming in with our 2 young kids, 5&7. They really couldn't have done any more for us, nothing was a bother and they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we wanted. My son was particularly happy as he was spoken to directly and given choices over his order, instead of directly speaking to us. We'll done Team and we hope to visit again soon
We took some of our kids for breakfast with Santa today.
Santa was amazing, kids kept entertained the whole time we were there. Breakfast was yummy and kids cleared their plates. Looking forward to the kids Christmas disco on the 16th December.
If you haven’t been down Halley’s Comet in a while go visit it’s completely changed and the landlady has made major improvements and has a lot of events on for kids and adults

Anna has really turned this place around. I wouldn't have gone near it years ago but it's got a great family vibe to it along with some brilliant nights and entertainment.
Great local pub, good prices great food friendly staff, regular entertainment and community events, well worth a visit if you're in the area

Just had breakfast had Halleys. Great value at £5.99 for a full English including a cup of coffee! Lovely friendly service, made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended🙂
