Stayed at the hotel, 1st night had to wait over 1 hour for our food, the waiter was fantastic about the problem this was due to the cook walking out on a very busy night.
When we did get our food, it was lovely, and each night after that, we had good food. The steaks were great đź‘Ť
I regret discovering this place late. I stayed in the hotel last year and that time I had a chance to walk around the lake after having breakfast at this place. The environment is relaxing and its a perfect getaway if you live in London or even MK. In my last visit I tried a main course and a cocktail and had a nice walk around the lake just before returning to London. Pity that it was rainy so cant wait to be there next time to grab a pint and sit outside by the lake!
Went with friends and their 18 month old baby. Lovely space in an old mill and very clean. Service was excellent, very family friendly and Tabitha was great. Decent pub food served quickly, vegetarian and vegan options available. Lots of car parking, it also has a children's playground and it's next to a picturesque lake for walks and feeding the ducks. We had a lovely time!

Cosy, airy old pub with a gorgeous lake side view. Staff are friendly, very helpful and professional! (One called Tabatha in particular was brilliant!- apparently did over 22,000 steps by the time she had finished with our group) Food was pretty delicious too.
Family went for a meal for my birthday . When we got there we realised we had book for following week and would have to seat by the bar. But then a waiter named Lloyd told us we could move to table service as it was my birthday and my partner was on crutches. The food was lovely but I have to recommend Lloyd our server. He was so friendly and polite and think he should be nominated a special award for his service. I even got a plate of chocolate brownies with choc sauce saying Happy birthday Queen...Best service at any restaurant I've ever had. Thankyou Lloyd

Pub grub made special..
Been here a few times now, but first time as the pub and grill, but still a great place to come to, very idyllic setting, so after eating you can walk around the lake, really is a nice place to come, and caters for all ages, definitely a 10 out 10 for me.
Absolutely amazing, food, staff, atmosphere. Would highly recommend if ur passing. Or just looking for somewhere different to go for a meal or just a drink. Our server Jack was an awesome guy.
A great, friendly pub. Having visited a few times, the service has always been second to none.
A couple of time is have visited with my toddler and the service is always super fast with no long waits, they definitely know how to work with children!
I have also visited twice with a group of friends in the evening, both times served by Lloyd. He is an absolute asset to the restaurant - super friendly, had jokes with us, helped with selecting wine, blacked out the calories on the desert menu after i joked they made me feel bad, and gave us space when we were having a more sensitive conversation. All in all we had a wonderful evening, helped hugely by his service. Thank you Lloyd!!
The pub itself is modern and has a nice ambience, and the food, although not fine dining, is always up to standard for pub grub and portions are generous.
Visited yesterday, I had a lovely meal with my wife hunters chicken and chicken fajitas

This pub / restaurant always seems to be packed and busy, and if you’re here just for drinks be prepared to have a bit of a wait at the bar. Things are much better if you’re dining with table service, of course, but this isn’t an option if you’re sat outside. On the subject of outside, there are loads of tables on the grass, each with a relaxing view of the lake and you quickly grow accustomed to the slope many are on.
The inside is all clean and modern plus the staff are always friendly. There’s some good dining areas on the ground floor, as well as more secluded sections upstairs which feel more private and are ideal for a special occasion group meal. The menu has a good range with everything reasonably priced.
The breaded mushroom starter could pass for a main meal - expecting small button mushrooms I was surprised to be presented with seven huge slices and salad, along with my choice of dip. Very tasty though, and the pie which followed as the main was superb. The fajita option on the menu was great, and the beef was cooked to order and very tasty. Presentation of everything was decent enough and the serving time was impressive given how busy the place was.
Overall it’s a decent restaurant, but slightly more geared to a formal meal than something casual; I’ll be returning for the right occasion. It’d be a perfect spot for drinks in the summer but the wait is just always too long to make it practical and some extra bar staff would be really welcome.

This pub it situated in such gorgeous surroundings by a lake with spacious and easy parking, there is a kids mini railway at the back of the car park but I wasn’t sure if it’s still operational but it looked liked a fun place.
The pub had such a friendly atmosphere and all the staff that I encountered from the moment I walked in seemed professional, polite and had smiles on their faces.
It was super busy and I did feel for the team working there, they were rushed off their feet.
I got served by a lady called George (hope I’ve spelt that right) and she was super lovely, hilarious, attentive and professional and just made me and my daughter feel comfortable from the get go.
I’ve been to this pub only once before but that was many many years ago and I can definitely say things have improved tenfold since my previous visit, wow absolutely loved it there this time, it was a spontaneous drop in on the way past but so glad i did and I would definitely recommend the team, food, atmosphere and pub and and will be going back again soon.

My friend and I visited today and had a great meal and drinks. The place was very clean and tidy. But the best bit was that theservice was fantastic, they couldn't do enough. Shout out to Lloyd our waiter (super friendly and helpful) the chef who made our fantastic food (including my fussy requests!) and checked everything was OK and to the barman who made the most amazing hot chocolate for my friend! We will definately be back! 🙂
