Visited quite a few times over the last week... food has been hot and delicious each and every time. Was not disappointed even when visiting during busy Sunday period (recommend booking a table for peak busy periods) service was brilliant and staff are wonderful!
Great experience and excellent value for money. Stayed in the Premier Inn next door and used Furzton Lakes for evening meals for 4 evenings, and each time the meal was of excellent quality, I couldn't fault the friendly staff ordered via the app and wasn't long before drinks then the food arrived. Was really busy Wednesday evening and struggled to find a table, but food and service was still very quick.
Absolutely loved my impromptu dinner at the Furzden Lake. Great food, great setting, great atmosphere. My only gripe is they took the coffee machine offline before 9 pm, but that's not enough to lose them even half a star. The team were attentive and friendly and the food was wonderful. Definitely recommend the Gravy Burger (pictured)
This review is for the furzton hungry horse pub.
Parking outside in the car park is free if you register your vehicle registration in the pub if you dine there.
You can order via the app.
The fountains are currently not working.
Dogs are allowed.
Children allowed.
Outdoor seating area.
The food was fast but our order was wrong.
The mash was very synthetic tasting, and the chicken was extremely rubbery.
It's a very fast foody type place, and great for children and families, but it certainly isn't fine dining.
Beautiful place. Paying for parking was a 10 minute nightmare. Instructions aren't clear and don't actually work half the time.
Large pub, clean and friendly.
Fully accessible.
Not the best fish and chips. The fish had more batter than flesh. The chips were okay.

Well where do I start. Staff are absolutely superb, friendly, attentive and helpful.
The food was brilliant for the price, well cooked and yummy. Must have a brilliant chef. Very busy but the meals were delivered in good time and no skimping on the portions.
The only thing to spoil the experience were members of the travelling community throwing drinks and ice on the floor because they couldn't get their own way. This was definitely no reflection on the restaurant and the staff handled it well, even when they tried to intimate the female staff.
Other than that fantastic restaurant, will definitely highly recommend this restaurant. Will say book in busy times.
This location just situated a little way from Milton Keynes is up in the list of best Premier Inns we have stayed at. Beautiful lake with a great number of swans and other birdlife.
Adjacent to the Premier is a Greene King/Hungry Horse. We drank with friends all afternoon and found the staff all excellent. Food was great/no complaints at all.
We were going to Wembley Stadium on the Sunday. We easily booked a Uber to take 6 of us to Milton Keynes Central Station which was great.
On return we were eating again in the Hungry Horse with a table by the windows overlooking the lake at Sunset.
Our book out morning was complete with Premier Inns £9.99 all you can eat breakfast and also able to fill take out cups with coffee. We will be back very soon.
It's not fine dining, but it's decent food for a good price. We've been coming here every week for the past year with our mum group. It makes a good stop off on a walk round the lake. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and their corn on the cob is perfect for keeping the babies entertained.
Stopped in for breakfast with the kids (4 and 8)
Lovely greeting from the staff on entry and they couldn't help enough.
Picked the seats we wanted, and ordered on the app. Great quick service with the drinks and food was close behind.
All the food was really nice, my 4 year old wasn't super keen on the sauce on her waffles so we asked to buy a pot of chocolate sauce to dip in, they provided it straight away at no charge.
Staff were very attentive and super polite. Food was great.
Really pleased we came here
Lovely location, it's beside Premier Inn and the lake has swans.
The hungry horse pub - friendly staff, good coffee and nice location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Food is pub grub style and they do large portions (from past experience and seeing others eating)
The only reason it was 4 stars was because it was early morning so no one around to create atmosphere, nice a quiet though, the food was just coffee on this occasion so difficult to rank and service was actually 5* so I have amended from previous 4*. Friendly prompt and helpful
If you enter for the first time you should know that you can order from their app and the process is really fast. The surrounding is wonderful.
The food has a great look. The portions are big and tasty. I highly recommend it if you like digitalization, fast service and taste.
I gave 4 stars because, as a developer, the app is not quite usable and comfortable. The font is not visible, the options are not well explained and the categories in the menu are not organized. The interface doesn't respect a pattern.
Welcomed by a the two lovely people on the bar that made me feel amazing. Not having to stand around too long to be served. Beautiful location right next to the lake. Everything was clean and tidy and lovely to see the area by the fountain bush with people having laughs. Lovely to see how Carol and Dan have changed the place to make it better than it was.
As soon as I walked in to the pub I was greeted by a smiling member of staff. Great service with a really nice choice of food. Check out the super special section, big thanks to my waitress Bethany, lovely looking place by the lake. Highly recommend a visit
The setting is very nice, the staff are really lovely, and the food was delicious.
We relocated inside due to the weather, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
I recommend the steak and ale pie. The kids meal was excellent value with lots of choice. Lovely place to stop for lunch.
Pub was very welcoming especially for people with dogs! Food was quick and tasty too. Even have treats available for dogs which is a big win after a nice walk around the lake.
Location is brilliant and scenic, a playground for kids to play in makes it very family friendly.
Food - came for breakfast whilst on business. Food was OK, not the typical good value you associate with a Hungry Horse, but good enough, range of continental breakfast was great, cooked breakfast was a little limited.
Staff - need some cheering up, very grumpy and very slow service given that it wasn't busy. Didn't detract massively from my visit, I put it down to a bad day.
Other feedback - breakfast is self service, kept under heat lamps with lids on most things to maintain the heat, great for the food! unfortunately the metal handled serving spoons are metal are also kept under the heat lamps meaning high risk of burnt hands if you don't use a serviette when serving. This caught a few customers out!
Will be back again for breakfast, but more likely to visit for an evening meal with the family
