Absolutely beautiful food and the staff are polite, friendly and efficient. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The mixed grill is by far the best I've had in and around Milton Keynes.... Perfect

Excellent atmosphere and lovely food, had a problem with the steak on my main course, absolutely no trouble sorting it out, a completely fresh meal brought out, and the service was friendly and superb, would definitely recommend.

Good freshly cooked food reasonably priced and a very good selection of real ales and wines.A great atmosphere set in one of oldest inns in Milton Keynes that has lots of character.

Great lunch recently at the Talbot in, I had the Bangers and Mash, which was so good that I will have this if available at every opportunity, incredible value at £7.29, easy parking, very clean, when in Milton Keynes I would definitely go back, exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff - thanks! AAAAA+++++++

Lovely staff. We had a warm welcome and immediate service. We came for a sunday roast mid afternoon. (it was table service, not a carvery) We didnt have to wait too long for the food to arrive. The portions looked a bit small at first but having cleaned my plate, I was happy to have a little room left for the Eaton Mess!! So, all things considered, it was a fine meal. The price was very reasonable too. My only concern (which has cost the final fifth star) is that the aforementioned Eaton Mess had barely ANY merangue pieces in it. It tasted really Good but lacked this important element. If Chef can fix this, I'll award 5 stars all day long. Either way, we'll be back to sample more from the Talbot Inn. Cheers!

First time I have visited and so glad we did. They have the best selections of starters for a tapas style lunch in Mk. Prices were really reasonable aswell. Think I can honestly say, hand on heart, the nachos are the best I have had in a good few years!!! No expenses spared on any of the toppings. Presentation of the food was appealing, and the service was quick. Quality wasnt comprimised as you could taste how fresh it was. Will be returning!

The pub with the roof dog! Having lived in Whitehouse for nearly 2 and a half years, I visited for the first time yesterday. I'll be honest, crushed by this because it's a great pub. Good drink selection to cater for all, and a big one for me, Pepsi max on tap. Good amount of space indoor for dining and drinking. Friendly bar staff, nice big outdoor area and the food menu has plenty of great options. Then to top it off, when sat in the front garden in the covered sheds, you look up and can see the pub dog peering over the roof. Will definitely be going back!

Really enjoyed a family Easter Sunday lunch here today. Excellent service. Great amount of choice on the menu. Such good value for money. Thank you for deconstructing an Eaton Mess for my granddaughter 😄 We certainly will be visiting again.

£1 off a pint of real ale on mondays and 40% off mains makes for a very good value brothers' night out. Along with great food and service, we ate and drank very good pub fayre indeed.

Food was delicious, once it arrived. Had to wait for a coffee which they'd completely forgotten about and then when we ordered dessert that took ages to arrive. Beef roast was really lovely, but no horse radish.
