Amazing food as per usual. It's our new local pub and we love it here. The staff are super friendly. Great selection of food and drink. And a great atmosphere !
We love this place, is our new favorite restaurant in Milton Keynes, staff is really great, always helpfull and with a smile on their faces, the food is delicious 🤤 and the restaurant is very cozy and lovely.
Delicious food, and lovely atmosphere. Service was great, friendly and helpful , a wee bit slow from ordering to arrival of food. If it had been quicker we would have had time for desert too , but we were going to theatre nearby and didn't want a wait after ordering .
Lovely lovely place this is! The decor, location & atmosphere was great.
Plenty of parking on site and outdoor seating was beautiful.
The staff were pleasant and the waiting time was not bad at all.
The food was good, portion sizes were big and it is quite affordable. I had a king prawn starter which I was hoping would be cooked but wasn't (not anyone's fault just choose the wrong meal lol) The cod fish and chips were good. Plenty of options on drinks and food menu.
Check out the pictures! 😃
I would recommend and visit again myself 👌🏼😊
Amazing quality food at a great price, fantastic choices as well. Very good, thoughtful and helpful staff that are always on hand: Good atmosphere, easy parking, nice location. Only slight criticism was the wait between starter and main was quite long but it was a Saturday and appreciate how busy it was.
Passing through mk, we walked in, 👍.
Friendly staff, had a window seat for 2, a little tight on the window seating and the windows seems to be leaking leaving pools of 💦 on the ledge. Enjoyed the special of the day. Thanks, see you again.

I absolutely find comfort, and this place, the sofas and chairs, make me feel at home with service!
Normally the couch facing the fireplace does it for me. A glass of wine… the King Oyster Mushrooms! I am vegan/vegetarian so this place has yummy foods that are perfect for me. Thanks you Luigi!
A good vegan menu for a gastropub, if a little pricey. The service was really good too. We were sat in a strange little side section that was really dark - I think as we were just a party of two.
Friendly staff welcoming environment and pleasant decor. Good for eating a meal with friends family or as a date. Food was hot and delicious, chips a bit too salty but all arrived promptly and staff were very attentive. Wide selection of meat and veggie options plus a selection of salads and healthier options. Extensive drinks menu plus soft drinks teas coffees etc. Will return next time we come over this way.
Toilets are very clean and accessed via stairs.
I believe this pub also does take out food or home delivery.
We came here for lunch today. The lunchtime menu was really good, plenty variety and great value. We were served by Tom and he was amazing! Could not fault his service at all a d really made the experience for us.
We had a fantastic lunch here and can't wait to return. Both the bar and dining area indoors are impressive with lovely decor, they're spacious and cosy. We decided to sit outside which is equally impressive, with plenty of large tables on the patio area and more across the lawn. Staff were super friendly and the menu had a decent selection. Prices aren't cheap but the worth it for the quality of the food and portion sizes. The duck liver & port parfait starter was presented well and had the right amount of bread served with it. The crab & prawn fishcakes were incredible, with whole prawns and not an overpowering amount of potato, which I usually the case with fishcakes. The dirty cheeseburger was also large and delicious. All the presentation was wonderful, with the glasses and cutlery spotlessly clean too. Without a doubt, I'll be returning!
We had booked a table and on arrival were greeted in a friendly manner. The food, drink and service were good throughout. It was nice not to be rushed and we enjoyed our visit entirely. Extremely friendly staff, which makes all the difference. Even better that you kindly sent me a birthday voucher, so thank you for that. We don't live in Milton Keynes but always visit the Wavendon Arms when we shop at IKEA and do our Christmas shopping.
Alice and Giuseppe were friendly, prompt and the service was flawless.
The food was delicious with good sized portions. I couldn't even finish my linguine. Well 👍 done.
Our server Tom was excellent, polite, friendly and helpful.
There were a couple of issues such as the position of our table in a very gloomy corner, the older guests needed the torch on their phones to see the menu and the decor in that corner was very shabby compared to the rest of the restaurant. Tom did offer to move us to a less gloomy table but we would have had limited time to eat as another party was arriving so we stayed where we had been put originally. Also the fish and chips was undercooked and the batter a pale anaemic colour but again Tom was helpful and removed the charge without prompting by us.
Pretty broad menu for the average person and I always like to have the option of the mini pud and drink at the end. My dining companion was newly diagnosed as needing gluten free and the offer of the pad showing options was useful but not that easy to use and it did complicate matters when a simple GF note on the menu like V for vegetarian would be much better. My menu didn't have the calorie count but his did. My starter of squid was excellent but owing to his GF issue we had these small plates as our mains as he couldn't find enough on the list to suit. I didn't realise that therefore ordering a side of veg was not included in my birthday voucher (the reason I booked) so the overall cost was more than I expected for soft drinks, two small plates, sides and the mini dessert with coffee. It rather put me off that our waiter didn't think to mention this even though he was attentive to the point of intrusive. I honestly think the menu is over-priced and means it can be visited only on a voucher as otherwise it cannot be justified. I think £36 would have been a fairer price for what we had.
EDIT: Much appreciate the response below, thanks for it.
Went out for dinner for my birthday and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Each dish was flawless and tasted so amazing. I only wished I ordered the 8 lamb ribs as they were amazing! Starters came out really quickly, mains took a little longer but totally worth the wait
Beautiful venue, welcoming attentive staff. Tom was an enthusiastic waiter full of knowledge and charm. Food was so well cooked. Everything we ate was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to visit again.
POSITIVES
The decor was clever, interesting, colourful & well thought out.
The service was efficient and food we chose was good with a broad menu. Extra touches like putting raspberries in the pink lemonade etc were a nice touch if not a tad expensive for a soft drink.
NEGATIVES
What let you down was maintenance & cleanliness. The floor around bar was very sticky..infact we joked about how our boots stuck to the floor. The glass table infront of fire was filthy..glass needs lifting out to clean it. The light above our table, floor in restaurant, glasses & cutlery were unclean. We sent a plate, 2 knives & fork back. Suggest better quality tabs for dishwasher & careful check before serving as waitress agreed they weren't clean.
If you have cleaners they are missing the floors especially under chairs.
Small changes and careful checks would help make it a 5☆ experience.
