I am part of the Newton Leys curry club NLCC. and we go around to different curry houses every month. We booked Papa J and the food and service was excellent, if we where really critical the poppadoms came out and there was no lime pickle our onion chutney and the pots of dips weren’t big enough, but other than that the food was superb, even the owner asked for feedback which was great
The food at Papa Js was extremely delicious, there is a great variety of food to choose from and all the dishes we had are lovely. The staff are very accommodating and provided great service.
Incredible food, friendly staff and great recommendations if you don’t know what to order. We had a party of three and got a small plate each and main with side each and had some to take home!
Best Indian food around.
We have visited the restaurant a couple of times in as many months. The food and service have been consistently good. The standout items are the mixed platters that are either all veg, meat or seafood. We have tried all three and have liked their taste and consistency. Portions are quite generous so do consider this while ordering. Waiting staff provide a good and fast service.
I’m Indian and I have to say many members of our family have come over and food is absolutely amazing. Highly highly recommended
The food is top notch. I had Chllie Garlic Mashroom, Veg Biryan and Mango Lassi, for which I have no complaints, absolutely yummy.
Great meal, tasty dishes and attentive service.
Only downside is that it's quite pricey for the size of dishes, however otherwise it's well worth it.
Went for the veggie platter and aloo paratha.
The veggie platter was nice, everything on there tasted great. The chilli paneer was the best bit, whilst it was a bit of a shame the Mogo was in a similar sort of sauce (still tasty though).
Would have preferred more indo-chinese items on there instead of the samosa and kachori.
Staff were friendly so no major issues with service, apart from the fact they apparently don't have any butter when we asked for extra butter for our paratha (very odd not to have butter when they used it on the paratha in the first place).
Overall a good meal. The price holds me back from going often which is a shame but otherwise well worth a visit.
Went for lunch on a Tuesday. Our server offered to answer any questions about the food . We ordered a chicken dish: murgh kalimirch, an okra dish: bhindi masala, and 2 orders of Naan: garlic and cheese and chili. The food came fairly quickly. It was delicious and medium spicy as promised. The chicken was moist and tender. Everything was prepared fresh.
Nice food. We ordered the king share platter. It's a shame it dosent come with rice and maybe a side veg, but plenty of tasty meat for 4 people. Overall the restaurant was excellent and we'd go back..
So why 4 stars? So on the kings platter there was a fish and a prawn item. Neither was nice and needs a rethink. Popodums were ok, but the chutneys were terrible and not at all recommended. Service was good, but we had a change of waiter half way through without comment which makes tipping awkward.
Still, all said... a good effort and we'd return.
Found this gem of a place in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. High quality Indian cuisine, customer service is really good! Took good care of our table. Atmosphere is very modern and comfortable. Sofa seating and chairs. Have options for no onion garlic options too. Took care of dietary requirements. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.
We've been there already a several times. Everytime the food was perfect, fresh and delicious. The customer service is one of the best I've ever experienced across the whole Europe. Wasim - manager, always smiling, kind, great recommendations. Gayatri- our favourite waitress, such a nice lady. Highly recommend this restaurant for all Indian cousins fans, also for beginners. The staff will explain everything and recommend the best choices.
Great Indian tapas and friendly staff. They are very helpful in recommendations. Very good prices though!
Outstanding food. I think I could survive on just the naan. We tried garlic naan and the chili and cheese. Loved them both. Both dishes were outstanding. I loved the desert too. It is all good.
The restaurant is good in its service recovery and customer satisfaction. Their Gobi Manchurian is the best one in Mk to try.
Food is served hot and their packaging looks better than few other restaurants.
