Great place to have a lovely relaxing drink, just had a refurbishment inside and out. It's well worth a visit. My wife and I only had some drinks, however the food that came out looked absolutely amazing and the smell was fantastic. Wish we hadn't had brunch beforehand otherwise we would have had a lovely meal as well.

A proper country pub, great food, good variety of beer, great wine and gin selection. The staff were fantastic, especially Amy who was rushed off her feet but still managed to serve with a smile.

Our food was lovely, really enjoyed it. No chicken for the Sunday roast though or on menu. My husband doesn't eat beef or lamb or pork as he doesn't like anything with fat on!! However, he was happy to have the vegetarian curry which he really enjoyed. Will definitely go again.

Been here with my wife for her name day celebration. We choose randomly a pub around and we ended up at The Red Lion. From the moment we arrived in the car park we were very surprised of the look of the pub and the outside layout. Once we entered the pub one more time we were very pleased of the look and the cleanness. Everything looked like in some fairy tails. The staff greeted very friendly and invited us to our table. As it was nice weather we choose to go outside in the garden. The garden was really nice and clean with a high standard finish having some nice outdoor glass tables with confy chairs. The hedge is cut perfectly as well as the grass. Everything is painted newly and is spotless. We ordered soup of the day which was some garlic-onion soup. The taste was amazing. Then we been recommended the hand made burgers for the main course. I can say that it was also one of the tastiest burger I`ve eat lately. All in one the place is amazing and very high standard and quality. The toilets are very clean and nice smelling. The carpets are so clean that I couldn`t even see a single spot or dot. I can HIGHLY recommend this pub for any event or just a day out. The prices are very good as well compared to what the pub is. Also there is another thing which I really have to mention and that would be that there are NO rednecks, no loud talking ppl, no sky sports crap. A nice traditional classic English pub.

Good food, service had room for improvement. Most of the food was good, the starters and desserts were very expensive for what they were. Chicken wings were over done, sticky toffee pudding was average. The mains were good but potatoes seemed like they’d sat in an Alto Shaam for hours. The service was patchy with waiting staff swapping and missing things. Plenty of free parking. Overall it was good, a nice pub in a nice location but I wouldn’t rush back.

Popped in for an impromptu lunch as time to spare. And as always was superb. Swift friendly service and food was just amazing. I love a sandwich and initially opted for the salt beef but that was unavailable, but that was a sign from a greater being and so I went for the chicken focaccia and hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Flavours just hit every spot and worked so well. Mac & cheese was tasty and not super heavy and everything else was great. Thank you and can’t wait to return

On our way to London we decided to stop in that lovely looking pub. We were travelling from Milton Keynes but when I’ve seen pictures of that place I convinced to prolong our rout by 25 minutes 😅 my partner was laughing that I was the one complaining that we left too late and then chose pub not on a he way. So when we arrived I was amused by both buildings (pub and the building across the road 😍 then very polite staff , cosy atmosphere, clean… but the food was a winner 👌🏻 it was something absolutely perfect in any way 🥳 eggs had perfectly running yolk and lamb was perfectly cooked (pink inside) but warm 😻 and tender , on top of all that I could not resist myself and ordered butter veggies and asks to add truffle and parmigiana 🙈 that was an orgasm in my mouth 👄 So definitely recommend that place 🙏🏻🥰❤️

Lovely fresh food. Very busy service slightly slower than normal but not bothered nice to be able to sit and chat. Hake and and hand cut chips lovely. Oh the chocolate brownie soooo good. Please bring back your shearing platters.

Outstandingly great dishes in every way, with no need for any pretensions. Superb food, coupled with equally good service, all at a reasonable price & in a classically charming English pub, set in a beautiful location. Definitely worth a visit, or two. Top marks.

Top gastro style pub, been twice in the last week so can tell you it's a cracking menu with great service. Things we had that were really good, butchers burger, Turkey Xmas Dinner, half chicken, oxtail pie, sticky toffee pudding. Only item of note was the squid which was very thick and for me could have been crisper. Well worth a visit, you should book in advance though.

Birthday lunch Food perfect, ambiance was ideal. Waiting staff where attentive but not in your face, knowledable and very polite. I would thoroughly recommend and have done to all our friends. This was out first time here but will not be our last. There were 4 of us but I didn't get photos of our starters or their food. The boys had roast dinners which were large and had plenty of fresh vegetables. We all had starters and puddings and by the end we all wanted to curl up and snooze into food comas. The food was exceptional.

Possibly the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Very friendly, fresh home cooked food, I have no idea why we had not been here before. Will certainly be back for more. Pork belly was a touch dry, but that’s the only slight criticism.
