Great pie and chips with season veg. The beer was on form and there was another dozen or so dining and a few more drinking. There was a separate dining room if you wanted to go in there to eat. There was also a separate pool table room and a dedicated snooker room. There was a great selection of r
Affordable price if visiting the Lake District. Huge bathroom with two sink and big bath. Quiet contry village ideal for resting. Nearest shop Booths available anything just 2 min walk.
I needed a hotel near the M6 for myself, and this turned out to be a little Gem. Only a few minutes drive from the Motorway, quaint little village location, and from the outside looked very appealing. Large car park, and also some local amenities nearby. Great bar, I arrived on a Saturday and it was
We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here! Had three courses and drinks. The staff were unbelievably friendly and welcoming. They made such a lovely effort when they learned it was our honeymoon. Cannot recommend it enough. Really good value for money.
I've been an occasional visitor to the bar for many years. When I was here a few months ago things had changed completely and downstairs was closed with a sports bar being operated upstairs. But now it's back to what has been the norm. Except better. There's a very friendly welcome from the managers
Recently re-opened this is still a work in progress but the welcome was second to none. For that reason I am giving it 5. The room we had was a blessing in the HOT weather, being coolly out of the midday and afternoon sun. Coming from a very quiet place I was conceived about traffic noise but the wi

Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room, with tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast free. Recently under new management and serving meals at reasonable prices. Would book again.
A great place to base yourself to explore the Lakes or Dales, and has just opened under new management. Fantastic value rooms, nice cold drinks but no food on yet. Plenty of options nearby though, so that's no bother. Would definitely recommend!
Really friendly landlords who kindly offered us a room and were such lovely people. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the corner bath a real treat! From Jamie and Emma the long distance walkers x
Stayed here for bank holiday weekend. The place it’s self is a good size. Just needs to be modernised rooms are very dated. Breakfast was excellent. Great service nothing was to much trouble and the food was top notch.
Although a tired old building the landlady Kelly and her hubby are committed to make this place a success. We stayed the 2nd day of reopening and already they have given the bar area a new lease of life were it was comfortable to have a drink or 3. Our room was a bit old fashioned which I'm sure Ke
Really great experience! The owners and staff are so helpful and welcoming. Comfortable rooms, good service and great food/drinks. Plenty parking space and a lovely big beer garden. It's in a really great location and the village is pretty to walk around. It was a really good experience and would hi
We were made to feel very welcome, the couple who run it are lovely. We honestly couldn't have asked for more. Great location in a place where we often visit. I would highly recommend others to stay. And the food was really nice,we ate both days of our stay. 10/10 all round 👍
