The Ritz is the best cafe on the island by a stretch. Formica tables and wall panels are complimented by the jukebox.
The food is traditional cafe comfort fare, from toasties to macaroni. The ice cream is wonderful and all at very reasonable prices.
The service is friendly and professional. All in all, if you're visiting Millport, treat yourself to The Ritz.
Like stepping back to the sixties ( I think,I was born in the seventies ) only went in for lunch because it was next door to the bike shop.ordered beef burger and chips for me sausage beans and chips for wee one and my wife had a tuna roll.what more can I say except that there was three clean plates.Fresh ,tasty food ,served quickly in a spotless establishment by friendly staff, we will definitely be back !!
We visited the Ritz Cafe a few weeks ago and I was overwhelmed by the kind staff who work there. It was our first time in Millport and we loved every second of it. The views, the sunshine, the shops, but most importantly the Ritz Cafe ! We had a lovey family meal followed by delicious ice cream. The burgers, and hot dog meals were lovely and all our plates were empty but a special bit of praise comes from an 11 month old who gave 2 thumbs up to the kids Mac and cheese! He ate every single inch of it with a huge smile on his face! Last but certainly not least a special shout out the the Manager Allison! Thank you for helping us get around and all your recommendations of hotels and bike shops! We're already planning our return visit but will definitely be stopping off at the Ritz Cafe first! Thanks again to you all for our lovely experience xXx
Loved this place especially the double nougat with raspberry sauce Yummy 😋 ! Service was great and it was a really busy bank holiday in the sunshine!! Well done The Ritz 👌😎
Lovely ice cream shop which I visited with family. We were recommended ice cream with marshmallow sauce which was ... Delicious.
The best place for ice cream. Always a warm welcome.
Great place, brought back good memories, enjoyed it!! Hadn't been in there since my teen's, now mid 50's :) lol
A trip to Millport is not complete without sampling the world famous Ritz's ice cream Fantastic original 50/60's decor adds to the experience. A must do for all visitors to the island.
Amazing lunch, homemade burgers were exceptional! Brilliant service from lovely staff... Went back the next day for ice cream, delicious warm donuts and ice cream drinks! My mum used to go here back in the 50s... we have always popped in. Now doing it with my own son xx
Good food, friendly staff, clean and welcoming. Has a traditional feel reminiscent of happy days 'doon the watter'.
Will always have a special place in my heart, been going since i can remember
Great place with a fab atmosphere. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Highly recommended.
Always a favourite place for us. Couldn't have a visit to Millport and not go into the Ritz Cafe. See you again soon!
We had the scone and jam and a bacon, egg roll it was very good indeed we visited on the 6/7/16
It's always a pleasure to visit the Ritz in beautiful Millport
Good homely food, recommend the Ritz Burger. Kids love the selection of ice cream and other sweet treats. Old fashioned juke box adds to the diner feel. Friendly and attentive staff. Only downside is lack of toilets, you have to walk five minutes up the street to the Garrison.
I would say the place was a great cafe & staff were polite but Are you charging The Ritz in London prices ? The price for food was ridiculous for a “cafe”. 4 drinks, a cheeseburger which was nearly £5 alone, two chips and cheese and a chips and gravy was £28. That’s mental. Could’ve went across to the hotel and got full meals for that price & use of a toilet which the cafe don’t have. Other than that the staff were friendly/helpful. The food was good and the place was clean. Can’t fault them for anything else.
Best chicken mayo toasties I've ever tasted and coleslaw top notch. Kids chicken dippers lovely and crispy(maybe another couple and less chips) but it was lovely. Price was fair
Old school cafè, fast service & friendly staff.
An absolute institution from my childhood many years ago and hasn't changed. Love it
Busy but friendly and helpful.good atmosphere. Plenty customers relaxing and enjoying their meal.On the front. Can sit outside and enjoy sea air. On a busy street plenty folk going by.
One of the best fry ups I have ever had. Excellent quality, lovely retro looking cafe as well. Well done to you all.
Lovely wee cafe 😍 food and milkshakes are amazing!
Lovely little cafe.
Food was spot on.
Homemade lentil and bacon soup delicious then I had their famous hot peas and vinegar transported back to my childhood..
Everyone else had a toastie couldn't be faulted. All capped off with some nostalgic 99 cones and oysters.
A real trip down memory lane.
The staff were all fantastic...
I had a sausage bap and the wife had scrambled eggs and both were very nice
Wonderful time warp retro café. A real treat! Extremely friendly staff, fantastic old decor and lovely milkshakes. I had a cheese toastie which was delicious - not fancy, but the place is unpretentious and old-fashioned in the best way. Super ice-cream sundae for afters. I do wish they had toilets as I could have then stayed longer!
Very retro 80s style diner. Just popped in for a cuppa but friendly + good service
Hot chocolate and warm caramel cake on a rainy day. Top service, friendly staff - great place to be.
Back to the Ritz after a 40 year break and it's exactly the same, hope it never changes.
Had coffees, milk shakes and knickerbocker glories and they did not disappoint.
The atmosphere at Ritz Cafe was brilliant & helpful also disabled people can get in & out in a wheelchair
Cheap and cheerful 60's style Parlour.
Great for kids and ideal for Lunch when on Millport
We visited this wee gem on the 29th of July and very glad we did! I really loved how it was a retro diner decor theme. Looks really cool!!
I got a strawberry milkshake and it was delicious. Best milkshake I’d had for a while. I didn’t personally get any food but my family got a roll on square sausage & a baked potato which were nice too. Staff were every friendly and chatted away. I would definitely recommend a wee visit here!
Visited Millport at the end of June with two relatives.
We used the ferry as foot passengers and then the wee local bus service.
This was the first place we saw as we got off the bus.
Ordering was fast and efficient. The drinks were lovely and the food was delicious.
It was hit and well cooked.. Chips lovely and fresh!
Bill for 3 adults was very reasonable and we chose to take an ice cream out with us.
The ice cream was homemade and very tasty. We had lemon meringue! It's a must.
The meal left us full for hours which is what you want in a meal.
Only downside was there was no toilet facilities which I thought wasn't allowed when serving food and we were directed to the public toilets.
On that note I'd give this wee cafe 7/10.
