Came here on first night of our family Christmas holiday. It's a really busy takeaway, and the food didn't disappoint. Freshly cooked, only waited 15 minutes. Staff really friendly, we took the food back to the cottage and it really was fantastic. Not overly priced and huge bag of complimentary prawn crackers. Definitely recommend

Jamie and his family work extremely hard in satisfying a significant demand for their wares. Really friendly and accommodating. Premises is clean and simple. Food is good too. Any dish we have ever asked to be made vegetarian has never been problem. ππΊπΊ
Ordered food at 1715 to be told would take 2 hours, and they wouldn't deliver to the lodge site, which was a bit of a shock. After collecting 15 min drive there and back.
The portion was quite generous even if a little overpriced but not complaining. Food in general was extremely tasty, with no complaints from any of the family, even the fussy one.
Found another Chinese take away in Lake district..
When I visit my mother we usually order a nice chicken chow mein from here and the portion is very filling, it is very busy on most days so I would suggest ringing your order to collect as just turning up will have you waiting quite awhile.
Friendly service and masks are necessary before entering.
The only thing that they don't do is deliver which is a shame because I know that my elderly mother would phone order her favourite more often if they did.
Food is always great from here.

Hadn't been to the Golden Lotus for a long time, mostly on the basis of the wait times. Decided to phone an order in on a Saturday night and the food was ready in about 40 minutes.
Prices on the menu look high, but they typically include rice or chips. And the portion sizes are very generous, so overall the value isn't too bad.
Yet again food was perfect. Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed our meal this evening ππ. Polite staff wonderful service, we live 8miles away and our food was still hot when we got home. Brilliant Thank you π
Recently visited the area on holiday and found this Chinese takeaway. Staff very friendly and good quality food with good portions.Well worth a visit prices are reasonable.
