It's a nice pub with Asian flair. The grub was a bit of British/Indian fusion, which was a nice change to other boozers in and around the Derby area. Midweek though, there are not too many customers, so we were eating in practically an empty pub. I enjoyed the food, though.

Wow, where to start. This place was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and the food here The staff were attentive and kind, the restaurant had a cosy/comfy vibe to it and overall it felt welcoming The food was top tier, nice variety of options The food can be a bit on the spicy side so if you like your food on the mild side, let the staff know when you're placing the order Overall 5/5

Nicely renovated old hotel and restaurant in a pretty location. Modern, lovely and clean rooms with air conditioning units. Plenty of free parking and two other real ale pubs nearby. Short but perfect menu of dishes with an Indian influence. Good choice of beers, both draft and bottled. All reasonably priced. Nice staff, but a few need a bit of extra training.

Lovely food, lovely drinks, nice atmosphere. service was pretty good, our dessert order didn't go through to the kitchen at first but as soon as it had was really quick and food quality was amazing.

Visited the Elephant and Peacock this week with family and the dog, sat in the bar area. Loving the chilled out Indian English pub fusion. Service was amazing from being welcomed and throughout service. The menu is quite small but this didn’t bother any of us, we all chose different starters then shared. All were so nice. The lamb kebabs I had were the best ever! For mains we all had curry’s and again very nice, my cheese Nan was exceptional. By the time we left the bar area was busy and had a great lively vibe. Would definitely visit again especially as we can take the dog.

Visited here twice now & its safe to say I'll be visiting again many times. This place is fantastic as a laid back pub serving a fantastic selection of drinks combined with a restaurant serving Indian starters & curries & some classic pub dishes with an Indian twist. The layout, the decor, the ambiance & the service is excellent, can't wait to visit again.

The ambience of this place is really great. Amazing service. Very polite staff. The food is to die for. The portion sizes are also quite good. We are always on the lookout for great Indian food and I can safely say this place may be one of the best Indian restaurants in Derbyshire. We tried the samosa chaat. It took us back to the streets of New Delhi. The lamb burger was also really good. But what stole the show was the Fish Pollichathu. It is very rare to find a good fish dish in Indian restaurants. Even more so a fish dish which is roasted in banana leaf. We were blown away by the fish dish. Will definitely be back for more.

We have just left from our 1 night stay. Check in was welcoming and efficient. Sampled a few drinks from the cocktail menu before our evening meal, all of which were flavourful. Staff really friendly. Room was to a nice standard. Warm but air con units are available and effective. Seem relatively newly refurbished. The decor choices throughout are really tasteful. Respectful to the buildings heritage with a modern twist. Enjoyed a beautiful meal in a really pleasant environment. Chilli chips were very spicy! Whole meal was full of fresh flavour. Breakfast was plentiful. Again friendly and attentive staff on hand. Breakfast was a combination of fresh cooked full English which was cooked to perfection and a continental with a nice combination of pastries and cereals. The Elephant and Peacock exceeded expectations in all regards. Thanks for a lovely stay.
