We held our wedding here and couldn't of been more pleased with everything. Julie helped us plan to get everything how we dreamed it would be even down to our wedding cake being made out of cheese.
All the staff looked after us incredibly well but a special thank you to both Julie for organising us
We visited today for the Easter egg hunt. The ticket buying was easy, service excellent (Suzanne, as usual, was the best waitress), and food great. The manager, Julie, entertained the children and we all had a lovely day. Thanks again Riverside
What was meant to be a day trip up and back from Cornwall for a meeting turned into me, sat in a car park, searching hotels at 8 pm on a Friday because Murphy's Law laughed at my hubris.
I booked and drove directly there, arriving about 10 minutes after booking. Despite my late, unexpected arrival
Great location with a fantastic garden. The service was second to none. The breakfast was a joy, fresh quality produce cooked to perfection. Nice bar with a good selection of beers. Stopped in the drake (not in the main hotel), rooms recently renovated to a great standard, only negative was the traf
Went in for lunch with the family, everything was okay.
But it was just okay, nothing outstanding or mind blowing, but a decent Sunday roast.
Environment is modern and clean enough, situated right on the river making it perfect for summer evening drinks.
The staff were so accommodating and a few drinks under you could have a giggle with them. They were quick and level headed when dealing with a rowdy fellow which is not a usual occurance, I might add.
The room could have done with a little bit of a dust and the curtains wouldn't shut but everything
I had a short stay here at The Riverside House, and at face value, and deeper, I would stay here again.
The staff within the hotel were commendably brilliant and made our stay one to be remembered! The receptionist was very nice and helped us when we were checking in and out, and the restaurant sta
What wonderful hosts for my dads wedding. All the staff were fantastic and the food was to die for. Would recommend the Riverside as a brilliant venue for any occasion.
Blimey, my 1st option of Sunday roast has to be this place all the way from Cambridge! I travel for food! I go everywhere! Brilliant staff and amazing food! Except the male reception is who is full of sarcasm and too much banter when he told me it was booked out unless “you want to eat on the floor”
Was here for a Christmas party, it was a great evening, good food, most of the staff was lovely. Some of the drinks was pricey but it was still a great night, didn't give it full stars as I didn't stay but I would like to in the near future.
Here for a week for a seminar. Great staff and service and nice location in Mildenhall. Plenty of parking in the back and everything you need within walking distance.
Just returned from a three night stay at the Riverside Hotel while working nearby. I was staying in Thetford town centre most weeks before this but the Hotel was in such a desperate need of modernisation I decided not to return.
Arrival at the Riverside there are front and rear carparks with ample s
Good service and great looking place, atmosphere can occasionally be quiet but to be expected as a hotel bar
Popular spot for lunches with inside and outside dining. Very reasonably priced well presented excellent food. We all approved of our Sunday roasts!
Toilets are spotless and modern. A wedding reception was also being held and they have separate rooms for that. Has a lawn where kids can safely run ar
I wish I could give more stars. We stayed for the week while visiting family. This hotel is terrific. The staff made us feel at home. With your stay there is a complementary breakfast ranging from croissants and fruit to a full blown English Breakfast. The food is delicious no matter the meal. The f
This hotel is really beautiful, lovely rooms. Have to say the welcome when we arrived wasn't the best from the reception, he didn't even say hi, hello or welcome. We had to check in with the new system which didn't work but we got there in the end. We had a voucher for our stay which also made it co
I have been here twice. The first time was brilliant, the service and food were excellent. This time I attended an afternoon tea and although the food was lovely, there was only coffee served, no tea which was odd and the service wasn't great. The coffee and pots were filled when asked but seeing as
Booked meal for four people enjoyed meal service great plus meal hot stayed 5hrs
Bottom line, I'd certainly stay here again. The place was roomy and inviting, and the atmosphere was garden-like and serene. However, there were a few glitches during my visit that I will assume are "one-offs.:" Elevator didn't work, and the narrow, steep stairs with lots of luggage to haul up to
