Simply the best pub we've experienced for quite a while. A good welcome from Di, delicious sensible priced food all home-cooked, excellent ales and lovely historic building. So good, we came back next day for Sunday roast. Look at the wonderful sweets we enjoyed the previous evening!

Superb! Steak deal is astonishingly good value. Cooked to perfection and served in a friendly and efficient way.
£30 for a bottle of Rioja and two fillet steaks...astonishingly good value...have missed excellent food at sensible prices since returning from living in France.... faith restored!!

Welcoming hosts and atmosphere. Food well presented, tasty and good value. Steaks were excellent. And the inclusive bottle of wine went down very well.
Went in for a light lunch, with a friend who lives in the village. Food was lovely and portions were good. Service was very good, and friendly. Would go back again.

Started off on the wrong foot when we were ignored at the bar. We were ready to walk away had we not already booked.

Warm, friendly atmosphere. The Landlord was very welcoming. Nice choice of food, well cooked and presented. Had a family skittles competition in the traditional skittles alley which was great fun!
Well, it's been a fair while since I've been here, so things may have changed, but I think they deserve a review. One of my favourite pubs in the whole world, great friendly atmosphere and the food is exceptional value and quality. Glad it's open again and done so in a safe way for both the staff and the patrons
