The service was OK, but the waitresses stood over you waiting for your order before you had time to look at it properly. Food itself was very good and you paid for it when it arrived at your table, good idea then no one can walk out without paying, would go back again

Popped in for coffee and cake. Young lady behind the desk wasn't loving life and was unsmiling as she took our order. Obviously she didn't really pay attention to what we asked for as approximately 30 seconds later she brought an order that wasn't ours to the table. Our actual order did arrive quickly after that and was all fine. 1 tea 1 coffee and a piece of millionaires shortbread big enough to share was about £7.50, so price was typical for the area and it all tasted good. I'd go back again, give it a go.

Just stopped here for the first time. The sausage, egg, and bacon baguette was delicious. This cafe will definitely be my new favorite.

Today we’re in Midsomer Norton reviewing Jacarandas extensive gluten free cake selection.  Full 4* review at coeliacwellnes.com.  We enjoyed our sharp citrus lime cake with a smooth takeaway coffee.  Observed some really safe coeliac friendly practices.  Will definitely be back to continue working our way through the other seven choices. Update: Just a quick update on a few more cakes from Jacarandas – we tried the gluten free chocolate roulade (one slice had berries and one didn’t), the lemon drizzle and the carrot cake.  This means the team are about half way through the coeliac friendly selection!  Full 4* update at coeliacwellnes.com. The chocolate roulade and the carrot cake were excellent. The lemon drizzle however seemed to leak fluid as it defrosted.  It was a really hot day when we brought them, but it was a shame because the cake texture became really oily. Overall still excellent and looking forward to our next slice of cake.

Nice little cafe located in the heart of Midsomer Norton with a nice view of the river which runs through the centre of town. There is a good selection of drinks, food and cakes. We ordered a panini and it was really good. The staff were friendly and the prices are on par with other local cafes. It can get very busy and the seating is a bit closer together so can feel quite crowded but other than that it's recommended.

The coffee and home made cake is fabulous. As with all things today it's not cheap but where is. The town of Midsomer Norton is so pretty and jacarandas have outside seating so you can watch the world go by when the weather allows.

Lovely independent coffee shop in the heart of the high street serving the most delicious home made cakes in town! Special mention for the Carrot cake and Victoria sponge, my personal favourites. Their 'Jac' Muffin and Eggs Benedict/Royale are also very well worth a try.

Jacarandas is a fabulous place to drop anchor. The staff are lovely the location is wonderful; just a pavement-width away from a beautiful carefully landscaped little river. During the summer, large bifold doors can be opened, so some of those within can enjoy the burbling water along with souls seated at tables under a canopy outside. Jacarandas serves delicious wholesome food, freshly prepared to order. The cake counter should come with a warning for those with no willpower (guilty as charged). The selection is irresistible. I was compelled to sample what, for me, was a new-take on the venerable chocolate brownie. It had a thick mint filling (think After Eight with nobs on) and generous choccy topping. Don't know who made it, but they deserve an Irresistibility-Medal. In these days of national-chain-caffs, Jacarandas is a super top-dollar local resource which deserves all the loyalty and trade which comes its way. Please check it out.

Pleasant cafe in the centre of the shopping area of Midsomer Norton. Good lemon drizzle cake and coffee and at a reasonable price compared to some cafes. You can get lunch there too.

Great choice of food, especially cakes including gluten free. Shame that the service didn't come with a smile
