Lovely little cafe with lovely food. My mum had a chicken bacon salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Nice balsamic vinegar dressing. I had a Brie and bacon panini, such a nice seeded panini! Which came with some lightly salted crisps and dressed salad. All freshly made and tasted delicious! Staff were very friendly and efficient, lots of check backs making sure we were happy. Loved the cup & saucer my mum had with her cuppa! Coffee was great also! Completely unexpected for Midsomer Norton! Thankyou very much ladies, really enjoyed it!
While visiting family in Midsomer Norton my wife and I found this lovely little cafe. The staff were very friendly the food hot and fresh and very delicious. We have visited this place numerous times while on vacation and highly recommend it. Will visit it again when we come back over on holidays
Warm inviting atmosphere! Best coffee shop in Misomer Norton (well, I think so anyway!) Staff are great, food is even better. Just a blerrie lekker place! X

This little gem in Midsomer Norton's High Street is not to be missed. A great selection of yummy cakes, wonderful cooked snacks or meals and endless supplies of coffee and teas, all served by helpful and friendly staff who attend to all the finer details to make your visit memorable. What more can I say. Long live Essence cafe !

It's a lovely place to go I take my grandchildren in most weeks as my grandson loves the ham and cheese sandwiches ,staff are so friendly it's also nice to call in for a coffee and cake when your on your own .

I love this cafe, and still as lovely as ever I had to say no to a slice of cake today, yes it was very difficult. The hot chocolate was as fab as before, never a let down, never disappointed. Great to pop in on your own with company or just the fam. Another great cafe gentle on the purse string .
Lovely customer service, extremely tasty cake and a really good cup of coffee to finish it off... They also had so many interesting things for sale. We'll definitely be back.
