Cute little pub next to the canal and the staff are really polite. Although it's only small, there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy in the summer, although seats fill up quick due to popularity. Would reccomend for summer drinks and Oktoberfest fest too.

Firstly, photos don't do the food here justice! The meals we ordered were incredible. All filling and of the best quality. The customer service was also amazing. We called the inn to book a table roughly half an hour before their kitchen closed, upon arriving, we were already fairly late, with half the group continuing down the canal to park up at Andersen Boats. The orders were given, and with no quibble or fuss, the staff set out making our meals at the chefs leaving time. (He's 17 by the way!) I was brought out a plate of stunning prawns, but as I wasn't there, they took it back, and the chef insisted he make a fresh batch for me upon my arrival with the rest of my group. They catered to our mistakes and lateness, which was hugely generous. The rest of the food and service was stunning alongside the ales and beer on tap. Photos are of the balsamic glazed bread with onion chutney and salad, and the sea bass and multi colour veg.

Great pub with good selection of real ales. No food but there is a great fish and chip shop over the road which the landlord allows you to consume in the pub.

Great pub. When they're not serving food they let us eat our fish and chips there with our drinks.

Great CAMRA pub next to the canal and opposite a great chippy (makes up for it not being a foodie pub). Families always welcome. Chess is a good way to keep them occupied on club day but board games are always available. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome.

Small but friendly pub which has gigs in a well equipped marquee a during the summer. A main Middlewich FAB festival venue where the atmosphere is something else. Good choice of guest beers and great views of the canal.

Friendly atmosphere with owners knowledgeable of all the beers on offer. Camra members are welcomed. Four cask beers on offer, not run of the mill choice here! Food is on offer from Thursdays. I wasn't attending on latter part of the week.
