What a beauty of a secret The Gate is! Fabulous Sunday lunch (so good we forgot to take photos!), lovely garden and excellent service. Shot straight to the top of my parents' Sunday lunch hit list.
Very welcoming pub with amazing home cooked food.
If you are in the area you must visit.
We even got a lift back to our camp site by the landlady's mu as no taxis available.

What a truly amazing experience. I've never come across anywhere where we have been made so welcome. My Dad & I are staying at the Kings Lynn Camping & Caravan site for a few days & being Father's Day we decided to walk to the pub. 5 minutes into our stroll & the heavens opened (picture monsoon weather π§π§π) By the time we arrived we were literally soaked to the skin. The campsite told us the pub served on Sunday evening from 7pm but unfortunately their info was wrong. Instead it's 12-4pm. Once we settled with a drink my Dad asked if there was anywhere nearby that did food? What happened next was unheard of. The owner Kat & her partner Myron said they'd re-open the kitchen!! We couldn't believe it. The food was delicious π
We tried to call a taxi but had no signal & instead of calling for us, Kat's Mum offered to run us back. We wanted to give a tip but they wouldn't hear of it.
As we were leaving we asked about local buses & at least 4 people in the pub gave us help. We're still overwhelmed. By far the best service we've ever had & we highly recommend The Gate Inn to anyone who is nearby.

Stopped on way to holiday at heacham, lovely friendly pub that made us feel so welcome, even the dogs, will definitely be stopping in again next time π
Friday night is curry night, my wife had a korma and it was a balti for me. Great service, food arrived within 10 minutes and there were two poppadoms, two naan plus curry and rice for each of us. Curry was very tasty and the bill, with a pint of beer and a glass of shiraz, was Β£30. Lovely end to a busy week, highly recommended.
The food service and beer is always excellent. Kat and Myron are brilliant.

Great choice of beers .. spirits and a lovely Prosecco! We love the food here .. from roast dinners to the regular specials, and the lunch time snacks etc. lovely owners .. great staff.. and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Always! If youβre in the area.. definitely give these guys a go.
Sunday Roast Lunch was fab. I can find no fault with the food or the service at this lovely country pub. Food was delish. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Even the locals were lovely. Everything you want in a local pub!!!
