Had the most amazing evening at Vine last night. Start to finish was a great experience. Greeted at the door by the opener who took us to the bar area for drinks. We were then shown to the lift that comes out of the floor to enable my wheelchair to get up to the dining area. Very disabled friendly - not something which you come across much these days so I was very happy. Manager ran through the specials board and recommended wine to suit each dish. Our food was served, K prawns for starter and my partner had the octopus. Out of this world! Moving on to main I opted for the special chicken and my partner went for the lobster. Both absolutely Devine and well worth the price tag. We didn’t have enough room for dessert, however the menu was extensive and inviting. Overall the staff were very professional and attentive and really made us feel special. There was also a live saxophone player in the bar area which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend for anyone celebrating a special occasion as this place is next level. Quite possibly one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Will 100% be back!
I’ve only been in for brunch so far where I had eggs royale and it was like a party in my mouth. So many flavours in each bite! My friend got steak from the lunch menu and claims it’s the best steak he’s had outside of the USA, so I guess I’m going to have to come back and try that too. Top marks for beer selection too!
I've been wanting to visit Vine for a meal for a meal since it opened and finally got there on Thursday evening with my lovely friend Tina who's a vegetarian. We both enjoyed the chilled ambience and feel of the restaurant very much. The decor throughout is stylish rustic and very welcoming, it feels spacious unlike other restaurants that pack in as many tables as possible. The presentation of the food was excellent. I love seafood and have struggled to find good seafood restaurants in our area. Vine is deffinately a must if you want more than a parmo! I had wonderful spicy mussels to start followed by the sumptuous seafood and samphire stew. I was advised to order vegetables with the stew but to be honest for me it didn't need it and I couldn't eat it all. Amazing flavours though! My friend choose some vegetarian dishes, I'm not sure which but she enjoyed them immensely and will be returning. We enjoyed a glass of wine with our meal from the good selection of wines. We didn't feel rushed when we'd finished our meal which we ended with an Italian coffee while listening to Yusef on the sax. A great dining experience which I intend to repeat often. Big flavours in a cool place!
Had Crafternoon Tea here and it was amazing. A gorgeous pork pie, a selection of cold meats, mini fish and chips and then a scone with jam and cream and a lemon posset. All this served with 3 halves of craft ale or 3 glasses of wine. I had the wine option. White, Rose’ and prosecco. Most definitely worth booking for this lunch experience!
Fantastic venue and decor. Ambience was great. Food was absolutely first class. We all loved it. Prices were reasonable for the quality. It's great that Middlesbrough has finally got a really great place for food. I ate the mussels, scallops and a fab pud. It was absolutely gorgeous. There were four of us and we enjoyed everything. The wine was good. The staff were really lovely and very accommodating. I will definitely return and be singing your praises to everyone I know.
Called in for Sunday lunch today was really impressed, food was some of the best I’ve had and at a very reasonable price, highly recommend.
The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. Beautiful interior and the food is incredible. I cannot praise the staff enough they couldn’t do enough for us.

Booked for a party of 5 this evening service was great food was lovely the live music saxophone player made it a special ambience lovely surroundings can definitely recommend for something a little different.

What a beautiful place! Took my girlfriend for a meal on Friday night and it was amazing from beginning to end. Booking was at 8:15 and we arrived 5mins early so we were greeted by a lovely lady who advised that our table was not ready but asked us if we would like to sit at the bar for a drink, we were more than happy to do this as the atmosphere was beautiful. The same lady made sure she followed us to the bar and served us with our drinks so we didn’t have to wait. Her knowledge was brilliant and was able to advise us on different drinks we may like. We sat at the bar for 20minutes before being seated but this was not a problem as the restaurant was busy (only a good sign) and we were looked after from the minute we walked in. Once sat at our table we were brought menus quickly and while waiting to order we were brought complimentary appetisers and bread. We had a few different members of staff serve us but they were all lovely, highly professional yet approachable and friendly with fantastic knowledge of the menus and the food available. Our food was superb, high quality and delicious, the portions were generous with my girlfriend even finding it hard to finish despite her loving the food. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and everything is to the highest quality. There was a pianist playing and a busy but welcoming feeling. On leaving the restaurant the lady who first welcomed us made an effort to come over and ask how we found the night and apologised for our wait, there was really no need for her to as it was not a problem at all due to the professional and wonderful service we received from entering to leaving! We can’t wait to return as this is a gem and we are so pleased we found it.
We went to the vine tonight for my mams birthday and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone food was different class and so were the staff so welcoming and friendly what a good night we had �
Called in today with a friend for coffee and a scone...delicious! Best I've eaten. Excellent coffee too. Thoroughly recommend. Staff lovely and felt very comfortable. A really nice place to sit as the building is so beautiful.

We went here for 'date night' and had an amazing time. The atmosphere is fantastic and absolutely love the decor. We ordered the steak and lobster sharing platter which was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. We went on a lovely warm evening and sat outside for a few drinks after our meal which topped off the night. I can't stop thinking about the food and we will be back very soon. I would recommend 100%
Very pleasant staff and helpful waitresses only young but only a few things what they could improve. 1 bigger tables as we had a party of 7 on a table for 6 not enough room personal. 2nd just a bit too long to bring drinks to the table when we placed drink orders but overall beautiful share platers food cooked perfectly to everyone would definitely go again and staff overall were 9out 10 score. We visited for the lobster and steak night and were not disappointed. Steak was cooked to perfection as was the lobster. Will definitely be going back as food was excellent, staff were very friendly and the restaurant decor was amazing! Thank you so much. Its lovely to see a local restaurant of this calibre.

UPDATE! We were eventually asked to come in for a complimentary meal now the new chef was up to speed. I am happy to say that things have significantly improved! I would now recommend.
Worst food We have ever had. We took the mother-in-law for her 70th birthday at the end of last year. The place was freezing cold and the ceiling leaking. The food was shocking for the price we paid. We complained and were told that the head chef had left and that we would be invited back once things were “sorted”. We never received a call, not that we would go back.
Lovely atmosphere and building, great selection of beers and spirits. Food looked good too. A little pricey.

The staff went above and beyond for my niece's 16th birthday meal. Erica and Charlie were making sure we got everything we needed and drinks topped up.
Lovely food and Kim the pianist was amazing.

Lovely atmosphere. Everyone who served us was friendly and knowledgeable.
Drinks were nice, but the food is another level. Mussels starter with Nduja sauce was the best I've had. Fillet steak was beautiful, seasoned and charred to perfection. Lime tart was great.
A shout out to all our servers again though, they really made the evening, and we'll be visiting again very soon.

We organised a last minute wedding for 36 people at this restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I and our guests had such an amazing day. The food was impeccable, cocktails were fantastic and we couldn't have asked for better service. All of the staff were amazing.
All of our guests commented on the service they received and would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Such a great experience, staff were lovely, food was amazing. Only thing that let it down was I had the pastry tart and it was so hard to break with spoon, like brick. Drinks were awesome too and you didn't have to wait too long for anything. Great atmosphere, made you feel very welcome. A little on the pricey side but we will definitely return for our big occasions
What a most unusual and unique restaurant which we discovered from researching on the internet was originally an abattoir! We enjoyed a very nice lunch. My partner loved his burger. The service was a little slow but our waitress was lovely. The restaurant is well worth a visit , not just for the food, but also for the decor and ambience.
Really nice food really nice staff. 1st time there and already booked back in for next week. Highly recommend
