The blackbull is a great place to go for a meal and night out very friendly relaxing place staff are excellent I would recommend it to any one
We held my Dads funeral tea here this afternoon. It was superb, staff great and the chef very accommodating to individual needs. Would highly recommend. Thank you for your first class service!!
Attended a whisky tasting evening. Great experience. Over 30 people there with 5 different whiskies to taste. Good banter throughout the evening and as it was close to burns night we all got a plate of haggis neeps and tatties. Thoroughly recommend it and will be going again.
We had our daughters Christening at the Black Bull and can only say how amazing it was. From preparation weeks and days before to on the day last minute changes due to some dietary requirements, Donald and his team could not have done enough for us and nothing was any trouble. All our guests commented on how amazing the food was as well as the bar service! We can't thank you enough! Would highly recommend! �

We are locals to this pub, they have a good little atmosphere, good food and a great DJ/ karaoke at the week end. We celebrated my daughters 21 st here too last night in their lovely function room at the back and we all had a great night, helpful staff and great music!
Had sharing nachos were great I had the battered fish was amazing my friend had the rump steak was so tasty. Well done to the chef everything great brilliant back ground music staff were attentive�

At night it's a bouncing pub with great music,the karaoke on a Friday and Saturday is a night to remember. The DJ has to be one of the best I've ever heard.
The staff are really nice too.

We booked the black bull to host our joint hen party last weekend and we cannot recommend it enough. All the girls were so helpful, friendly and genuine. Everything we asked for they were able to do. The bar was so so busy but we were always able to be served quickly. They organised the DJ and stored our buffet in advance of the evening and cleared up after the party was over. I went back and picked everything up the next day and everything was tidied into a big box for us. Absolutely stand out night, would recommend hiring the black bull to anyone. Xxx

This is a lovely, warm, welcoming restaurant with really friendly staff. The food is delicious and plentiful as is obvious from the pictures! I would definitely reccommend this place for a nice family meal or a meal for 2. Will definitely be back again!

Great portions and very tasty dishes
Went for Sunday lunch, with my mum the other day. We got there at around 2pm. I was not overly busy but had a few people having lunch.. Staff were very nice and helpful.. The menu had a good variety of options.. We picked the braised beef cheeks with veg and beef, mushroom stroganoff.
Both meals were hot, a good portion size and tasted great.. We will be back again, if driving by the area.. Well done 👍😁
Had a dinner here on a busy Saturday night. Although, waiting time was longer than expected, food was absolutely amazing! Chicken was not dry and the bacon was yummy. Don't forget to try whiskey sauce! My girlfriend had best fajitas ever!
Good menu. Prices have jumped up but I suppose that is the same as everywhere. Had the special, chicken Balmoral which was nice.
The staff here are great. So welcoming and helpful. The food is very good standard with big portions at a reasonable price. Inside it is quite traditional but the space is well used and it clearly popular especially with locals. Very nice country style pub.
Food was excellent. Steak pie was the best I have ever tasted. All three courses were superb. Would definitely recommend. Great portions.

We hired out the function room for my Mum’s 50th birthday and it was such a good night! The staff were really helpful when organising it, making sure everything was sorted for us. On the night, service at the bar was quick despite it being busy and the buffet was amazing !! Thanks for a fab time, will certainly be back !

Tried to get a table but they were fully booked, eaten there before highly recomend ate there tonight food was excellent staff were first class recomend went with family for a meal food excellent service excellent again. Booked for tomorrow night never been disappointed yet.
