Just had a meal post lockdown and it was very delicious. Split a three course meal with my partner and was stuffed. The staff were amazing along with the classical Italian music.
The place is a bit dated but it gives it charm and a bit of character. We are doing the box hill trail and this was perfect stop.
Arrived when the restaurant was going to shut for the afternoon until the evening time but the waiter was more than happy to accommodate us for lunch. The menu selection was based on Italian food cooked by Italian chefs. The servings were very good sized portions and very tasty.The waiter could not be any more helpful or friendly. The price of the food was very reasonable as well as the surroundings. Would recommend this place to friends.
It was my first visit in this restaurant and hopefully not the last one:) When I came in I was a bit surprised as although good reviews, the restaurant was empty and you felt the time stopped there like 20 years ago but in good meaning and the atmosphere was very unique. We ordered just starters as we were not so hungry but the portions were huge anyway:) Very tasty pasta, unfortunately I was to full to ask for any pudding later on:/ when you're around it's definitely worth to go and it's not overpriced, staff friendly!
A lovely little restaurant unfortunately situated facing a busy A-road. Feels like a bit of a time-warp when you walk in, with dated decor and furnishings (but this adds to the charm really!).
The waitress was really friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. I ordered grilled Trout which was really tasty and cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the homemade lasagne which apparently was really good.
Definitely worth trying out! It's cheaper than the posh pub just up the hill which is typically much busier.
Food was traditional, but nicely cooked. The place could do with a lick of paint, as it’s a bit of throwback to the 1980s. That said, the Italian chefs and waitress were welcoming and attentive.
Quiet, small, dare I say, unpretentious Italian restaurant with high quality food in a pleasant atmosphere but surprisingly never apparently very busy. Seafood is prominent on menu but roasts, steak, pasta and specials all available.
Visiting here was like a time warp back to the sixties. You could almost see the chianti bottles with candles although these were not present. It was quiet but the food was excellent and the waiter and chef were delightful.
Great food and generous portions. I’ve eaten here a few times now and each time try something different. The steaks are cooked to perfection and scollops are delicious too.
Well.. Nice restaurant by the main road with big possibilities! Very tidy and quiet inside with friendly staff and good atmosphere, food was tasty and cheap . Portions were great as well ! I hope to see you again !
Ok so these guys are a two man team who need some local support the food is always good and purchased from a good butcher the value for money is fantastic.They make the best Aubergine dish I’ve ever tasted and roasts are great too.Yes the decor isn’t great but the service and the food is so if you want a Sunday roast and all the trimmings I suggest you give them a try.They don’t advertise so just turn up and see what you think say you read the google reviews and I’m sure Carlos and Pepe won’t let you down,👍
Carlos always makes us very welcome. The food is very good and the service most attentive. The lemon roulade is positively most delicious. Can recommend this place.
Lovely food, especially the Scallops that I had. Staff very attentive, and entertaining. Well worth slowing down for, if you are on the A24.
Very good dishes, big portion, down to the earth cooking. Quiet and peaceful environment, one of my favorite places. Also, very good price and service.
The food was very good. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated but the staff were lovely. A bit quirky but with good food, it is worth a visit.
