If you want a place that has a good ambiance, a lovely period feel and the best fresh home-type cooked food - you want to visit this cafe. Lovely owners - very welcoming, the pictures don't do justice to the feel of the place and the food is amazing. They also sell jams, chutneys, and preserves that taste amazing.
Don't take my word for it, go visit and try the food. You won't be disappointed. Recommend!

Ordered a takeaway Breakfast and a BLT with a small portion of chips. We'll what can I say. The food was fresh cooked to order and tasted amazing. This cafe and tea rooms is a must. The decor of the cafe is made to feel like you stepped back in time
I rang at lunchtime to reserve a table for four (very last minute) I had an autistic child with me who struggles to sit down quietly but wasn't made to feel embarrassed as he wandered around. The food was amazing, all home cooked. Can't recommend enough! Thank you to all of you 🥰

Probably the best cafe and tea room in Mexborough.
Went today for high tea absolutely first class, friendly staff and amazing decorations around the walls. will be calling again for a meal next time.
