The second time we have eaten here, but the first time in a long time. Hosts were so good. Food top notch. Cannot wait to return next year.
Never expected to find a local Portuguese restaurant in Cornwall. This nicely located, very friendly owners (Sue and Antonio) pacts a very fresh seafood menu that tastes just like the time I was in Porto. Quality of food was amazing and the price to portions were well worth it. You need to try the

Excellent food, very friendly owners so a deserved 5 stars. A very small bistro so if you are a larger party make sure you book early. Not cheap but as with all things you get what you pay for.
Excellent fish platter for two after wonderful sardine and crab starters.Couple who own it have been there several decades and maintained a high standard.Chef catches his fish.He comes out to chat with customers in friendly intimate surroundings with unobtrusive music in the background. His wife is e
Amazing food and amazing service. What more could you want! Had mussels starter and monk fish kebab main. Sangria toooo.
Alvorada is an absolute gem. An intimate little restaurant with only 4 tables in the home of the owners. Antonio, the chef, goes out fishing 2 or 3 times a week and cooks whatever is in season and he catches. The food is exquisite and the owners are very charismatic and have lots of stories to share
I ate at this restaurant (I finally found a photo with its name) years ago and still I keep on saying I had one of the best fish dishes ever!! I'll never forget the "fish kebab". Great!!
We had a lovely intimate meal here right at the end of the season. They are fully booked in the evenings but we dropped in at lunchtime and felt very lucky to get a table. Our hosts were super friendly and certainly enriched our dining experience. The food was fabulous with great provenance and pres
We have eaten here several times and loved it every time. It's our go to place in Cornwall.
So so lucky to find this lovely seafood restaurant with fantastic Portuguese style cuisine. Totally top drawer food.
Simple excellent fresh seafood as it should be. Smile on my face says all you need to know.
Fantastic food. Highly recommend the mussels which were the best we have ever had. The other food we had was second to none. Antonio is an amazing chef and Sue is so welcoming. What a unique place. A and P
Small, intimate restaurant offering authentic Portuguese cuisine. Welcoming and personal service. Excellent fresh fish menu that got my taste buds tingling. I Highly recommended this restaurant.
Authentic Portuguese fish restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.
Tiny, friendly restaurant serving a varying and delicious menu, based on the proprietor's own local catches. If you can’t get to book a table, at least buy a couple of pasteis de nata to take away. Best you’ll ever taste (apart from mine).
Quaint, quirky and like sitting in my mother in-law's kitchen with all the typically wonderful smells of portuguese home cooking. Great freshly prepared food, local fish and friendly hosts. Worth a trip for the sardines alone!
Excellent ultra small Portuguese eatery, chatted to the chef while he was cooking!
Delicious and fresh sea food. Friendly staff, highly recommended.
