Reviews Tea On The Quay

We stopped here for a mid morning cream tea as the wife and I fancied one and our eldest had expressed an interest in trying one (minus the tea). On the day we had the choice of plain, sultana or cherry scones for our cream teas but such to our usual choice of sultana. When they arrived the scones had clearly been freshly made that day and had a good consistency. The jam and cream were top notch as well. The tea for the grown-ups arrived in a big pot with two bags in. A third tea bag was supplied in case we wanted a stronger brew, which we didn't feel we needed. On one of the walls the café had a map showing where all of their locally sourced ingredients come from. Overall a great cream tea. We'll be sure to stop here for another the next time we visit Mevagissey.

Nice place with great service. We went there for lunch with an 18 year old and a 10 year old. Service was excellent. Something did come wrong but rectified in super quick time. Food was great. I would recommend the Cornish Platter (pictured)

Simply scrumptious, locally sourced, home cooked food served with a smile. Pick what you like from the menu, it's all fabulous. The cakes are to die for!

What a lovely cafe. Visited twice whilst on a short break in Cornwall. Great tea, tasty cakes and super nice staff. On my second visit I was going fishing and they very obligingly made me a tea in my flask without any hesitation. Will definitely visit again when I am next in the area.
