Absolutely lovely place and delightful staff. I didn't know what to expect in terms of the inside, but it had this antique chique vibe that worked so well within. All the chairs were different and it oozed character.

We had a fantastic meal here tonight! Food was out of this world.. my steak cut like butter and was cooked to perfection! The staff made us feel like royalty, they couldn’t do enough for us… definitely worth a visit if you love good food! Thank you ‘The Mine’

The food was good, although it could have been hotter. I do think it was overpriced. If I am paying £16 for a lasagne, I expect it to be exceptional. The staff were great, and the place itself was nice. Not sure I would go again, there are better places to eat in Merthyr.
Food was amazing, staff were welcoming and friendly. The only downside is the the table for two by the toilet when people go up to pay you can feel quite crowded (this could have been a one off). Would definitely return and looking forward to trying out other things in the menu 😊

This place does a bit of everything. Disappointed by the price of the Italian dishes, just no need to be that expensive. The upside down curry really didn't need both chips and rice, carb overload! Fillet steak was good but not enough chips with it.
