Lovely local pub with welcoming friendly and very helpful staff. I chose it as a dog friendly pub with food as I'm camping nearby. The homemade pie was delicious! The local gents were in as football was on but as a single female I didn't feel intimidated at all. They were indeed gentlemen. Recomm

This is one of those special, secret places the locals don't tell you about. Ignore the main menu. Pick a delicious pie from the specials board. I had a steak pie filled with rich gravey and a perfectly-poured pint of cider on a quiet Sunday. At least four or five amazingly good and varied vegetaria

Lovely dog friendly pub staff were lovely and accommodating had steak pie and chips which was very nice even tho we were outside the normal menu times the landlord sorted 2 lovely meals for us nice end to a birthday day would go back again

Stopped off for a much needed drink on a very hot day, nice patio out back. Staff friendly and helpful, will be returning to this place next time we are in the area
