I don’t usually bother to write a review unless it’s a really bad one. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by everything about this place. I have only given 3 stars for the atmosphere but in fairness to the George, it was 6.30 on a Wednesday night, so I imagine it would be much better at 8pm

Really liked the set up in the dining area five of us had a round table. We all enjoyed our food and liked the choice on offer. Plenty of parking and noted an outside area if we ever get fine weather. Would definitely return to eat here.

Nothing is too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough. Perfection in every sense. One slight problem. When cutlery is washed up make sure that it is thoroughly dry before wrapping napkins around them otherwise it is impossible to use them.
Pricey for sure, but reassuringly so, the food was great and high quality but the waiting staff were a bit slow at times, meaning a bottle of wine ordered before the starters didnt come until the main course and meant i was still a glass in at the end of the meal but i was nice wine....

I hadn’t been here for years (different owners) and thought we give this a try when I was back visiting the family in Meopham. Having frequented many pubs/restaurants in the area, I think I may have found a new favourite. We sat in the restaurant area which was had great ambience and was very cosy.
Music choices weren't great for having a roast, but it had lovely food and attentive staff.
