I have no idea how I found this little Gem but I'm so glad I did. I went here for my anniversary with my wife. The food and staff were amazing. A fantastic meal, the service was great. Never eaten John Dorey before but it was really tasty probably the best fish I have ever tasted. My husband said about the restaurant “absolutely superb I wish we had found this place on the first night”. Excellent, what more can I say?
I went here for my partner's birthday as a surprise, who is facing some serious health issues. I asked the restaurant to make the table a little romantic because I wanted it to be special, and they really outdid anything I expected!

Small establishment that serves amazing food. Had 3 course meal and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Limited menu but all well executed. Food was freshly cooked and good quality, with great service. Highly recommend.
We were staying in a local hotel and found this restaurant via Google reviews. What a gem of a restaurant! Very unassuming, but genuinely the best fillet steak we’ve had in a long time. All round excellent. Thank you!

Small bowl of beans / peas for four was a bit skimpy though. Same with the dessert. Very tasty, but sticky toffee pudding was rather pricey given it was only about an inch square.
