Played pentaque in the rain outside so can't really review the pub. Nice pint of ale, friendly landlord, reasonably priced.

It’s actually Chevon Needham, just want to say, what a brilliant night we’ve had here tonight. Music great, kids disco good and the atmosphere brilliant. Food good and beer good. Well done to all behind the bar. Will definately be back.

Surprisingly good! Food was very good (a bit too salty, but still good) and toilets were nice and clean. Definitely recommend!

A local to be proud of. We love going to the Anchor and the food is exceptional. Paul and Lisa are brilliant hosts and we are so grateful for all they do in the village. If you haven’t been before, you’d be incredibly welcome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a group meal there for Christmas. The food was delicious, hot and well presented. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very attentive. The lovely log fire made the pub warm and inviting. Could not fault. Definitely will be returning.

Proper Landlord & Landlady at a proper village local. We moved back to the area in April of 2021 after relocating from Cottesmore. We left friends at our old local behind and missed them terribly. Then we found Paul and Lisa at The Anchor and instantly hit it off. Although we haven't lived in the area before we have family that have and to say they have accepted us is an understatement. We love going for pint most evenings and we regularly have their amazing steaks on a Thursday. Thanks for welcoming us and its so nice to have a landlord and landlady that cares for their customers. Keep up the great work both.

We had the "fish & chips deal" (2 for £12) on a Friday evening. We expected a fairly small portion for the price but we were very pleasantly surprised to see the fish was the length of the plate and tasted lovely too. A big thank you to the staff and the next time we're in the area we'll call again.

excellent service, good ale, and a real pie, not a stew topped with pastry. a very welcome stop for lunch on a wintery day.

The food is absolutely AMAZING. Standard village pub Sunday lunch issue for vegetarians of not a lot of option, but I had the cheesey flatbread starter with chips, and it was gorgeous. Well worth it! Tried some of the batter from my son's fish and chips and it was amazing too! Husband says the beef Yorkshire pudding wrap Sunday lunch was also awesome. Highly recommended for omnivores at least 😁 Covid setup is impressive, it feels very safe. Nice and warm too thanks to the patio heaters.
